Yes, women are held to different standards: they're allowed to take far more time off, work fewer hours, take maternity leave, take fewer risks, on and on the list goes, and then when they continue to absurdly moan about a gender gap in pay, we all have to sadly nod and ponder how evil men are, and what can be done about it. The obvious reality is, that if there were no pay gap, despite the striking differences, it could only mean that men are being severely discriminated against.

Unfortunately these things are hardwired in the brain. We are not as logical creatures as we believe to be. But we have to always try.

There are also internal reasons why is not 50/50. Most women are interested in other things. The more vocal feminist are usually Lesbians and the butch type, and those are even better than men ! Of all the women I've known in my life, none are solely suited for housewifery (which BTW is a tough job). Even those who only desire to be a housewife have the brains to have a career.

The women I know (with the exception of a few) are intelligent, strong, wise, loving, hard-working, and/or accomplished.

Studies also show that men and women for a variety of reason, in general and as a whole, chose different career paths. I attend to disagree with Ms. Myer's position regarding Clinton and Obama. Clinton recieved much of her votes, I believe 1 because she is a women. I think Obama was well recieved dispite his lack of experience because he represented honesty and integerity, which I think Clinton lacked.
