  • "go save him Dupont" !!he's getting his ass kicked again!

  • There were two guys you didn't want to fight in the 70's. Larry Robinson and Clarke Gillies. I'll give Schultz props, he took on all comers, but those two were monsters.

  • big bird was about to kill schultz. i mean literally.

  • You saw real NHL hockey in the 1960s and 1970s. Not like the dancing ballet on ice crap today.

  • Shultz and Dupont had a lot balls. Hated the Flyers as a Habs fan but I respected the guts that players like Shultz and Dupont had. Not like the chicken shit backstabbers today the new NHL allows with the stupid instigator rule crap.

  • @BBQFanNo1 yeah u right,,dupont always came to shultzs rescue.

  • Schultz wasnt excellent fighter, he got beated CLEARLY in this nice tilt.

  • Dont mess with Larry...Schultz got what he deserved !!!

  • that was not what you call a real fight typical larry robinson fight hold pull them down and hit them when they were down what he do hit dave maybe 2 or 3 times typical monteal fight

  • @panama1423 not a real fight ?? eh !!! man !!! you just made yourself into a bona fide hillbilly boy

  • Yea Shultz was never the same after his ass was kicked by Robinson and again by Buochard.

  • Robinson beat the shit out of him lol

  • Read Shultz book!! He was nowhere near as tough as people thought he was. He even says it. He cultivated this image on the ice and the "Legend" became bigger than it actually was. He was not like this AT all in real life. The BSB!! were a marauding gang led by Capt not so courageous Clarke who would run away like a schoolyard wimp and let the goons take care of his mess. That was their modus operandi.

  • This could not have been 1976 or 1975. Frank Mahovlich is still playing for MTL and his last season there was 1973-74...Since Dryden is not in goal, Wayne Thomas is, I'm guesing it's the year Dryden took off and it's the 73-74 season.

  • anyone know what year this was?

  • @glaxko2 This was a Sat afternoon game in Feb 1976. Robinson had smoked Schultz in a nasty preseason game in Oct 75 when the Habs dressed up every goon in the franchise. In the 76Stanley Cup finals, Robinson really beat his ass and Schultz never played for the Flyers again ! 3 for 3.

  • @glaxko2 Probably 1973-74 season, when dryden took a year off (Wayne Thomas and Bunny Larocque are mentioned as Goalies)

  • I watched Roland Erikson of the North Stars, a Swede, beats Shultz up horribly. It's fun to watch Robinson in any clip. He was just to damn good.

  • Dave Schultz ..has nothing to be proud of ... then or today or tomorrow !

  • i saw an extended version of this clip where a fan gives robinson a sip of his beer.

  • that was beautiful

  • and the whole world cheered...

  • dave shultz very very chiken the same flyers team chiken nanana he ho good bye

  • Beautiful. Schultz's reluctance to take on the bigger, tougher Robinson defines cowardice.

  • this fight is way overblown. I am a big Canadians fan and lived for the team in the seventies but what does everyone think they are watching here? Schultz got beat up bad by Clark Gillies but this was nothing much.

  • Robinson was one great defender as well.

  • You can see the fear in Shit head Schultz's face here.he wanted NO part of larry Robinson.i remember this like it was yesterday.Schultz got his ass handed to him like he desreved

  • Larry Robinson sure handed to Schultz that time. And the team gave it to the Flyers who were never the same as Montreal started to dominate the league through pure hockey talent.

  • ah one lost fight. compared to the rest. nbd.

  • Perhaps the greatest testament to Robinson's toughness and status is when he was the coach of the Devils and basically scared his team into coming back to win the next 3 games against the Flyers. They say he merely overturned a trash can but I bet he threatened to beat Scott Stevens' ass.

  • As a Flyers fan I was always surprised on how the Flyers have always been labeled as the toughest team. Don't get me wrong, the team is/was tough, but they weren't exactly bullies. Teams like Boston and Montreal routinely out bullied them. The Flyers of the 70s were a skill team with some edge. Montreal of the 70s was also a skilled team with some serious toughness. I think the whole bullies thing is marketing.

  • Amazing to see a handful of the posts defending Schultz, or even saying this was not an ass kicking. I know the video gets a little shaky there just as Robinson is hammering Schultz, but cmon, the fight, so called, was about as one sided as you can get. Schultz was a dirty player, like the rest of the Flyer thugs, so do not be complaining how when Robinson got him done how he continued to pummel on girly man Schultz.

  • Dave Schultz Fights

    a9f4e579.urlpulse.net

  • Habs fans must not get to see alot of hockey fights... if thats getting your ass kicked you must be mistaking field hockey for real hockey.

  • fuckin dupont,,i wouldve loved to poke his eye out!

  • There`s a well known story where the Canadiens beat the shit out of all the Flyers in a 1976 exibition game, and the Flyers were never the same. The Habs started a 4 year cup run. Thanks for the memories Larry. Killing Shultz with your skates untied.

  • Classy move Larry Robinson -- hit a guy while he's on the ice. I guess that relates to Marty McSorely and a few other players he's coached. Chump move.

  • @Zilla2251 Give me a break. Shultz loved to head butt in fights (hard). He and Clark deserved a good beating.

  • Aw now here's big Robinson!!!

  • dave schultz was a fag

  • @ericssson he dump ya?....lol

  • I think this may epitomize more than anything what made that Habs team of the 70s so good. They could beat you at your own game if they felt like it. Yah, they could run up the score with the best of them, but when it got nasty they could beat the snot out of you too. Robinson was one of those players that didn't get challenged much before, or after that fight. Schutlz, the punk, got punk'd.

  • Schultz got served by Robinson in that fight!

  • Big Larry > ANY Flyer past or present.

  • Dave Schultz was a cocksucker

  • @ericssson you little bitch.i would love to see you vs Schultz back then any day

  • LOVE IT..SCREW ScHultz he was just a bully

  • @taino730 hence the name The Broad Street Bullies jackass

  • Theres a reason Larry rarely fought.

Most of the league knew better.....

  • Prior to 74/75, Lafleur helmet gives that away!

  • Larry Robinson was a big, strong, tough son of a bitch. He was not dirty. He wasn't really a fighter, but if you fucked with him or one of his teammates, he would clean your clock. Dave Schultz found that out the hard way.

  • lol everyone hates the flyers.. i love it GO FLYERSSS

  • @comeasur1054 NO. I want Boston to knock off the Flyers. HABS to knock off the Pen's and THEN Bos and Montreal meet for about the 25th time in the playoffs, and finally a Canadian team will go to the finals... and Montreal's record against Boston is about like 20 and 2 in all their series combined. Chicago could win it all though. Gritty dirty team, and they work hard

  • @sparwood8

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! Too fucking bad, beantown LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

  • Everybody was crazy back in the 70's. Everybody fought too. I don't think there was any real champ. Schultz was just the nuttiest.

  • Win or lose the best defenceman in the game at the time was off the ice for 5 minutes.

  • schultz was a no talent punk---i was so happy when larry fucked him up---clark gillies also destroyed this overrated bully who got a reputation by fighting weak players

  • Big Bird one of the top 3 D men of all time. tough lad, too. but SCHULTZIE can play on any team of mine, any time. and if he was on YOUR fav team, you'd LOVE the guy.

  • @sparwood8 so true

  • @comeasur1054 I only wish that we had a guy like Schultz in Vancouver, especially for that nasty Chicago series. They were allowed to highstick us, elbow us, and NO CALLS. Rypien not dressed.. floater Demitra floated like a cork. Lazy bastard he is. Coach that stupid deserves to have his team trashed. and be fired

and the tradition continues. Schultz scored 20 goals in about 80 shots one season, and you don't have that kind of percentage unless you know how to go to the net and make it happen

  • that was it for that clown Dave Schultz

  • wasn`t too many players who fuck with Robinson...lol...

  • Oh Oh Shultz made a huge mistake....he's finally fighting someone who can kick his ass and his bitch Dupont wasn't there in time to save his pathetic ass. GO BIG BIRD!!

  • The so incredible Larry robinson, its just like if ...lets say Pronger almost Kill Laraque in a fight. I Say pronger, cause nobody actually can match Robinson in this league.

  • @gensisyan

Pronger fought a 38 y.o. Laraque. I bet on 180 lb Rypien to hand Pronger his teeth

  • Robinson is the man! They don't make them like this anymore!

  • Robinson with a vengeance!

  • Robinson owned Schultz in this fight

  • Hardly anyone would go at Robinson after this

  • So who's the hammer???Schultz got his ass kicked like a school yard bully then his loser buddies had to step in and save his fat ass.

  • @papermache2131

U Full of --it. He went with them all. Nobody wins every tilt.

  • @papermache2131 yes sir. the HAMMER threw the first punch but he didn't thror the last one did he??? ALWAYS a pleasure to see a Bradstreet bully get his ass kicked.

  • @papermache2131 fuck you you sack of shit. would you like to fight with Schultz? wouldn't think so

  • @papermache2131 Robinson handed Schultz's ass to him, and he did it by himself without an entire goon team behind him. Oh yeah, and Robinson has about 3 times more cups than Schultz too.

  • @papermache2131 Larry Robinson and Clark Gillies were the only people who could beat him. I'm sure Larry has lost to a few more people than fucking 2!

  • Robinson own

  • robinson kicked schultzs ass...fuck dupont too...the end of a bully era that was fitting....robinson won morecups too!!!

  • @HaggisMeloy we don't give a shit about cups, we're just making a point. schultz was still a great god damn fighter and stand up for that any god damn fucking day.

  • @TheDaleDenton He picked his spots and attacked guys smaller than him. He didin't like taking on guys like Robinson who could and did kick his ass.

A lot of his and his fellow Philly goon teammates fights were when they rescued the ultimate coward of the league Bobby Clarke. Clarke would start fights and then hide behind Dupont or Saleski or Schultz..

I admit Schultz was no coward, he was just careful.

  • @ALSFAN5 i might sound ignorant but i'm not gunna agree with you. though it's good your not like most dumb-asses on here who go on how they could whip his ass. thanks for that bud.

  • fuck,n Dave Schultz was a FAG
