Awesome upload. This video demonstrates that scientific knowledge isn't the only thing we acquire from space exploration; there's also an immeasurable aesthetic appeal. Seeing Earth in profile here must be one of the most stunning and beautiful things I've ever seen. It shows exactly how far we've come as a species.
Two things: the Ariane 5 only travels to LEO, does it not? What is the final altitude? Also, who is the artist who composed the ambient music?
Most Ariane 5 missions go to a geostationary transfer orbit (250km x 36,000km) but it has also launched earth escape missions like Rosetta (to comet 67P/Tschurjumow-Gerasimenko) or the Herschel and Planck space telescopes to the second lagrangian point and will place the James Webb Space Telescope at this same spot. So the final altitude would be "infinite", if you want ;-)
lol didnt know there was an synthesizer onboard the shuttle. ( 1:00 ) just kidding. this was a beautiful video. i wish more of my friends appreciated this kind of event.

@sadekgheidan In real word, Ariane 5 reaches supersonic ( = 340 m/s = 0.34 km/s) velocity 50 seconds after launch. Acceleration continues to an astonishing velocity of 27900 km/h = 7.75 km/s for a circular orbit at 250 km altitude.
please someone tell me the name of the song that is playing, i'm searching for it log time now:(

@bmayn4444 this isn't the shuttle. It's the Ariane 5 rocket, used for (as far as we know) unmanned payloads.

Nice video (though it is accelerated bei x2).
Anyone an idea why Ariane 5 is rolling slowly after fairing separation? Is there a reason for this?

@Orbionnicle This video was indeed increased in speed. After 4 minutes in real world, it will be around 126 km altitude.

@jxdigital Thanks for the info, did not know that.
So its ceiling is at around 250km?
How about the Space Shuttle? I remember reading somewhere that its ceiling was 600KM+.

they release the nose cone so low, it wont burn up, it'll just fall down and hit someone on the head. kinda dangerous.
