How can the Quran and the Bible both be from God if they contradict one another? Definitely for real. Off his rocker more than I'd imagined when I made this vid two years ago. A couple months ago, Tony committed murder-suicide at his community college, killing a girl he was obsessed with and then himself. Do a search for "Anthony Powell Murder Suicide Asia" on YouTube and you should find a clip of the news story.

On the contrary, I'd venture to guess that most atheists would welcome evidence of God with open arms....the problem is: there isn't any. It is only logical to assume that if there is no evidence of something, then it probably does not exist. Ya know, like leprechauns and fairies....and God. Subjective feelings of "God" within your own mind, such as "I know God exists, because I can feel Him" is by no means evidence of his existence. So no, not believing in a god is not stupid.

I do beleive in god, but see that proof is just all around me. Yet this world is confusing, complex, and always changing, making such beleifs more questionable. So I understand an atheist's point in everything. What atheists do that's different from many christians, is that they see everything in a more "real world" view, since they see the other side of the picture. at least the smart atheists. But there are christians that do the same. But still for me, respectively, god isn't just a feeling.

And, Shona, you may not understand this, but the reason so many non-believers make such a big deal about this kind of conduct often has nothing to do with whether you are a Christian or not, but because you justify this behavior in the name of Christianity and, purportedly, in furtherance of Christianity.
In other words, if you resort to hate speech in your advocation of Christianity, you will naturally draw hostile responses, and many atheists will come to associate Christianity with hate.

I regard responding in kind to any tone of treatment to be the natural human response, regardless of whether someone is a believer or non-believer. It's hard to meet hostility with patience and actual, sincere kindness, for both believers and non-believers. The natural response to being insulted is to get mad back. And I believe the cycle results in both sides feeling persecuted by the other, and renders many people on both sides ready for a heated argument over just about anything.

Because people believe that god created morality, that our morality is a gift from him and based on religion, and thus disbelief is immoral. Faith by some people is viewed as a morality. Believing in god is seen to be A MORAL. This is, of course, bullshit...but that's the reason. Disbelief = immoral.
