  • masterpiece

  • Not bad, but u can do better

  • This animation is without a doubt the stuff of nightmares, as it still gives me chills.

  • But...it's a harpy, right?

  • TOTTOSKAARTH

  • reminds me of women

  • Reminds me of Ye's Runaway

  • ...someone of you knows what she's saying (repeating parrot's words)..????

something like..."morning Oscar".....but what language is that? russian??

..anyway...tha's one of the best things i've ever seen, i was just a teen when i saw it for the first time, then i could remember just the story, but i forgot title, and everything else..

but...yesterday...i found someone in a forum talking about this masterpiece....i couldn't believe!!!!!!!!..so THANK you for posting!!!!!

    i'm HAPPYYYYY!!!

  • Fantastic, kind of movie you remember all your live...! The only thing I don't understand is why the man put 3-4 hats on his head ?

  • i hate to ask, but, what's the song at 5:49 ?

  • Damn harpies, they always try to ruin my camping trips and picnics

  • Wonderful! Amazing story! Ricardo, from Argentina

  • Women are all like her (epic shortage though)

  • Cool!

  • My favourite animation short ever. I was watching 'Splice' the other day and the film is quite clearly influenced by Servais' masterpiece.

  • wow.. did that suck! (just kidding, very weird film)

  • Perfect rendition of a Harpy. Takes said that Harpies were mostly bird with human face. Love it. Thanks for uploading for everyone.

What tha fucking hell is going on nowadays with the writers?

maar voor de rest prachtig gemaakt en raoul servais is een sympathieke meneer met veel fantasie. Hij is gwn cool

  • 20 years i've been thinking what was that short movie i once saw...and that's the short movie i once saw!!!i'm glad and i'm scared :) :)

  • that was very creepy!! great share kari!

  • p.s.and i'm still hungry after all these years :) :)

  • It was about 20 years ago when I first saw it, as well. I was only young and it terrified me! :) I think the thing that makes the monster even more scary is it`s shaved head. It`s a twisted asexual nightmare. I actually try to avoid watching this; it brings back too many bad memories. :)

  • Das ist ja interessant. Great art work.

    5*****

  • good 5*

  • I`m glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • I saw this on TV at late night when I was a kid. I was more entertained than scared and I never forgot it. I actually felt lucky for beeing able to see it. Some months ago I discovered its title by chance, managed to download it from the Net and shown it to lots of people.

  • I'm a fan of these creepy shorts. I got into them through jan svankmajer stuff. Any recommendations?

  • I subscribe to a channel called Fewdiodotcom

on YouTube which makes horror movie shorts. You might also want to check out anything done by the Quay Brothers. I have some of their videos in my video log on my channel.

  • I had to come back for another look see ^^

  • Always pleased to have you come back for another visit. :)

  • Mythical!

  • Saw this in the day, never forgot it, happy to see it again, truly powerful and nightmarish.

  • What a brilliant post, thank you =O

  • I love this film i have wanted to see it again for years. Brilliant.

  • that was awesome

  • Wow, my friend sent this to me and it is really creepy. Who would take that thing home, anyway?

  • It is a bit of an odd thing to do, isn`t it? :)

  • Saw this in HS a long time ago. I'm so happy to see it here.

    What a great short!

  • This is indeed just like Jenifer -- exactly the same. The writer of the comic (in which Jenifer was based on) must have been inspired by this.

  • @gorboy The comic story 'Jenifer' by Bruce Jones and Bernie Wrightson, appeared in Creepy # 63, published in July 1974, four years before this was made.

  • wtf. lol thats kool.

  • What is she saying to him at around 4:15?

  • She starts talking at about the 3.58 mark. I think it`s talking about the parrot being gone. I think we have to assume that the harpy ate it.

  • She's repeating what the parrot said

    "Tafel is klaar"

    which is Dutch for

    "The table is done"

    which means "Supper is done"

she probably ate the parrot and now imitates it

  • Thank you. I always wondered what she said. :)

  • you're welcome!

  • wow this really is like jennifer from masters of horror, although this one creeped me out more than a lot of horror movies do and even more than some of the episodes from masters of horror.

  • sooo..where does he get that random axe from @.@

lol this is a pretty kool short film tho

  • this scares me :/

  • It scares me as well!

  • I was so ROOTING for that poor man... Be sure to check out Masters of Horror: Jenifer... Same concept...

  • I`ll have a look for it. Thank you.

  • i am a huge fan of this short film, every time i watch it i get unnerved. thanks heaps for uploading because it is constantly removed from other sites unexpectedly. i'm definitely linking a few friends to here XD

  • Thanks for this!

I saw this film several years ago and it made quite an impression!

  • Your welcome.

  • If you guys liked this, you should see episode 3-4 of masters of horror S1... Its called Jennifer.

  • nice upload

  • I first saw this on a childrens tv show called Rolfs cartoon club in the eighties and it scared the living daylights out of me.

  • i loved the jan svankmajer style exaggerated sounds. The squeaky boats and all. Very good. Thanks for uploading.
