  • 0:19 That was a dirty spin move...

  • @topdogrox One of Chase's best moves.

  • i always play good but don't score a lot , 10x guys keep it up

  • @TheKingJohnnyG thanks for your support. We appreciate it.

  • hey coach i have been playing basketball for a while now but i am now on my first team. the game seems to move so fast if you know what i mean, when i touch the ball i get nervous to make mistakes and i just pass it off how do i make the game slow down mentally

  • @NoWallsNoBorders Experience slows the game down for you. Give it a few weeks and you should notice that it gets easier.

  • @NoWallsNoBorders There are a few of things that can change the pace of the game.

Ex. Ballhandler can slow down the game by just standing and protecting the ball making the defense think your running a play.

Ex. The Defense can pressure you (Double Team) and force you to move the ball quickly.

But what I`ve learned is you need the defender to respect you, (Dribble, Shot, and Drive) then your in full control of the game.

  • woow i never thought about that, I was always thinking about passing the ball. This video really helped me out. Thank you guys

  • @doudou151991 Thank you for your interest. Please help us out by "Spreading the Word!"

  • I could have used this tip before

  • @SirCuckooPepprmuddle Well you got it now so lets SCORE! a bunch!

  • Thanks!!!!

  • @LeonardoFulgencio You are very welcome!

  • so im am a big guy who can shot threes and take it to the hole. but my hops are not up to par. im 6'1 and 265. what should i do. HELP SHOT SCIENCE!!!!!!!

  • @gorillabiceps11 Well, let's lose about 30 + pounds if possible and and get going on our Vertical Jump Program. You can find the Handbook which has a complete 12 week program and if you do a good job on both of these items you will be surprised at the outcome.

  • @ShotScience thanks for the advice im really going to use it well

  • @gorillabiceps11 Great and let us know how it goes!

  • How can u get tall??

  • @LeonardoFulgencio Your fate regarding your height is in your ancestry for the most part. There is no growth secrets.

  • i cant find my way in basketball,at first im a shooting guard because i will in everyball i take, but now i cant shoot, but when i cut in ill get tap because im small,so how?

  • @yeohkj1 Please go to our shooting videos, especially our Interactive Shooting videos and begin to fix your shot! This is something that you can do, especially if you had the shot down before. For finishes at the rim, see our video on this topic.

  • I'm a pg and set up the play I pass a lot but my team have lost a lot of games should I try to drive to the basket more often?

  • @Dil1995 If you have that ability we recommend that you use it. We refer to PGs who are only passers as "Mailmen." They do nothing more than relay the ball from one player to the next. When you break this pattern and attack the seams of the defense you become a really effective player as the defense will shrink to stop your penetration and you can kick it out for a shot OR score yourself.

  • these tips r very affective, i need one on how to drive in with with multiple defenders. ive done it multiple times but i want to become used to it to where i intimidate my defenders.

  • @stevenolivermunoz We will consider this for a regular video in the future. Thanks for your request.

  • @stevenolivermunoz check out our "Finishes at the Rim" video in the mean time

  • If you don't know what to do in the moment you get the ball attackig the basket instead of waiting is a good descision but in my opinion you should know what is happening on the court, so you already know what to do before you get the ball, in that case a clean quick pass can be the better descision!

  • @k2daho We would agree on this comment!

  • very nice tip

  • @LegendaryTruthSeeker Thanks again. We are pleased that you like or tips.

  • Best tip :) I got told to do this last season, went from averaging around 8-10 points a game to around 15-20 points a game. Also around 7 assists a game. Also i play point guard.

  • @brynormous wow, that's great!!

  • yeaaaa shot-science this is really good. i always have done the opposite

  • @thekingenea get that Killer mentality and make things happen!

  • Think score Think Score THINK SCORE!!!!!!! THANKS FOR THE TIP IMA USE IT NOW., i usually, when playing team or group play, try to make my teamates move to get them open, now i know that i have to do something in order for them to do something thanks for the boss tip shot science and btw i just subbed!

  • @AirBallerX3000 thanks so much and welcome to TEAM Shot Science!! Go get 'em!!

  • yes, it was "Tip". :)

  • @MorningThief83 The 12 Days of Tip-mas is HARD to say!!

  • Thank you for the tip Team ShotScience. It was helpful.

  • @Sterlinglawson thank you so much for watching and commenting!! You're on the TEAM, too!

  • @johnnieblackwell the "point guard" mentality is a shame in our opinion. It's pretty difficult to generate any opportunities for your team if you're simply a turnstile for the ball. Attack and the defense has to react. If they can't stop you, score. If another teammate opens up with a better look, get it to them immediately. It's so simple, but people are just timid to make the change.

  • @denniskjin that has to be a mental change you make inside yourself. You have to decide that you're going to be aggressive and make things happen. Flip the switch yourself and make it happen!

  • Hey Shot science can you give me some tips to accurate my shot?

  • @lestin96 check out all of our shooting videos!

  • nice video,u uploaded every 9 pm

  • @jesontheG6 Thanks for your comment.

  • Maybe the tip should be "Look to attack the basket more" instead of "Always look to score"? The latter encourages ball-hoggery. Just my two cents, not hating.

  • @D12world1 Look to score doesn't necessarily mean you have to go get a score, but being prepared to score if the possibilities are open.

  • @D12world1 Also, if you are always looking to attack, you usually will open up easy opportunities for your teammates when their defenders help. I can see the "ball-hoggery" logic, but think this type of aggression with a little but of court vision will make you a ver unselfish player with lots of assists and happy teammates who get easy baskets!

  • :D <3

  • @nkns93 ;-)

  • The toughest thing about this is leaving that fear of messing things up in a game, that's why sometimes I think and wait too much.

  • @Denielgunz gotta get over it. You'll never be able to be a great player if you're worried about making mistakes. Do you think Michael Jordan never made a mistake? He probably made more mistakes than you'll ever be able to. The great thing about basketball is that the next time down the floor is a completely new opportunity. Free yourself from that stifling mentality. Be aggressive!

  • probably the most important tip that I've missed

I have to remind myself to score everything just to keep myself more aggressive

  • @getsase yes, you have to be aggressive to generate opportunities for you and your team!

  • Im the player that we'll rataher pass and create more oppurtinity for my team to score

  • @br619bb If you have that mindset, you're not going to be a threat.

  • @KidTwizzlerr12 I disagree so far in my high school season in australia i average 14 pts 10 assists and 3 rebounds

  • @br619bb Every player is a little different! That's very cool!

  • YEAH! THIRTEENTH ONE TO COMMENT! SCORE!!!!!!!

Anyway, when I shoot a three-point shot, I find a couple of issues.

    1) Spreading my feet shoulder width apart doesn't give me the boost I need as mentioned in your other vids.

    2) I quickly get nervous and lose my shooting form.

    Please help. Thank you.

    Sub.

  • basket first or teammates first?

  • @naruto23471472 you always want to think basket first, BUT that doesn't mean force it. You want to make smart decisions about creating your shot, but be prepared to dump it off to a teammate when you draw the defense or they have a better look.

If you're thinking PASS first, then you will never be a great offensive threat. Do you think Michael Jordan, Kobe, or Larry Bird were thinking, "I got to pass this ball as soon as I can..." They were thinking, "Get the SCORE!"

  • @ShotScience what about Magic, Stockton, Nash then?

  • @MrPainfulTruth those guys all would think score first, but if they saw a better option open up as a result of their aggressive attack, they get it there. If you're simply a passer, you will never make anything happen.

  • @ShotScience i have this mentality to always pass the ball so when i drive i will draw the defense and once the defense come i will pass the ball resulting in many turnovers how do i change this mentality??

  • @MrHellhellhell you just have to tell yourself that you're changing and make the effort to do so. Also, it's great to be able to draw the defense and then deliver the ball to your teammates, you just want to think score first and if they're a better option, get it to them.

  • @ShotScience I definitely agree with this logic. Great offensive players think score first and give the ball up when better options arise for teammates. Always look for teammates with a better scoring opportunity, but your first focus should be score and get fouled. This will cause defenders to help more in the future, creating even better openings for your teammates!

  • A great tip! I think it's the same with a lot of sports = an aggressive mindset is the way to being the most difficult to stop, because you really know WHAT you're going for - even sometimes if you dont know how to get there in the first place :)

  • @Jackothespacko yes, this is exactly true! Being timid will get you nowhere. Take a chance and make something happen. If things don't workout, there's always the next time down the floor! Great insight!!

  • @ShotScience Yes, there is always the next time! I also think that if you go for something and it doesn't come off, such as a 3-pointer, then at least your teammates are there for the rebound... still a much higher chance of scoring than laying back and hesitating :)

  • @Jackothespacko we agree. Gotta be able to make a mistake to be great. Otherwise, you might as well warm the bench ;-)

  • CHYEEAAH BOOOIIII!!!

  • @tingy30 Flava FLAAAAAAAV! ;-)

  • First to comment!

    thanks for the tip....your rock!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM PHILIPPINES!
