I believe bulb LED technology is going nowhere. LED bulbs simply don't last and have no light output in one year more less 15 years as the actress states. This is another temporary bulb from Phillips. Solid state lighting utilizing element technology from companies like ActiveLED, G2 Caberra Systems, Acuity Brands, Dialight and LSI are the companies that really know LED.

I agree that LEDS are much beter than the CFL bulb but I still prefer the incandesant.

Where did they get the part about saving $142? I just purchased this same bulb today from Home Depot and the box says it will save $130, not $142.

Looks like a good product! I haven't seen one myself, but i know Philips put all their eggs in one basket with LED technology and they seem to be leading the way. Way to go!

The table lamp on left has a regular 60 watt incandescent bulb and the one on the right is the 12.5 watt LED.
