  • Marianne Evelyn (Faithfull) Von Sacher-Masoch - The Baroness Erisso. Title inherited on the passing of her mother Baroness Eva Sacher-Masoch

  • i love it :)

  • 19 year old beauty and with a great voice soon to spiral down fast as her bio reveals.

the very little body movement while singing was common in the sixties.that demur look is a welcome change from the current pole dancer look. how ever i want it all as i like the style of tina turner and beyonce too.

  • The face of a goddess, the voice of an angel, but the brain of a gnat. She destroyed herself with booze and drugs and the "fast life". Within a few years she was on the streets. Don't do drugs, kids...

  • many ask about her voice changing-it is quite simple ,years of booze and ciggies

  • What a luminous smile. She doesn't need to shake her butt, just her smile lights up the room.

  • Anyone know what happened to her voice?

I first recall hearing her when she released "Broken English" in 1979, but I'm sure I heard her version of "As Tears Go By" when I was younger.

On 'Broken English' her voice seemed quite raspy.

  • @mottledbrain

All the drugs she took had an affect on her voice.

  • Hot girl, fugly dress.

  • Written by Jackie DeShannon & Jimmy Page.

  • @browneyedgirl1967 I wanted to take her home to meet mum

  • Lovely lady and a wonderful song. I can't help but notice her body language (or lack thereof??), especially in comparison to today's performers, who use their bodies and hands and move around so much more. Actually, I think I prefer Marianne standing still, just as she does here (with some devastatingly gorgeous smiles thrown in), as she is absolutely perfect AS IS. :-)

  • @BerlinLynn Hello, well at the risk of stating the obvious. Todays performers especially the women use their bodies to distract from their awful singing.True class does not need to do that.

  • @motney555 Agreed!! Thanks. :-)

  • @motney555 Again, I absolutely agree. Marianne didn't have to do anything but stand there, look beautiful - and sing beautifully. :-)

  • one of the truly great pop songs of all time

  • @hicksi61 A great song but that statements a bit strong

  • @weenyone we are all a bit passionate about the art we like at times - pop is not my preferred genre but this one is one of the one's that does it for me in that genre. Her voice didn't seem to come from her innocent, vulnerable frame.

  • What a beautiful lady!! She was my fave from the Brit Invasion girls!

  • She looks like a Stepford wife.

  • thanks !!! i love everything of marianne!
