Yeah but it's too bad Josh Smith was one of the worse showings in that 2006 dunk contest. Even Nate Robinson and Andre Igoudala made the finals in that contest over him. And who are you calling broke? J-Rich already made 30 million in his career so far and Josh only made 4 million. J-Rich made 9 million his first 4 yrs in the leage and Josh only made 4. And there's no such thing as a 10 year contract. The limit is 6 years, not 10.

Man oh man I do not care if you don't call him franchise . I do not care if you think the money will free up room. There were other players they could have traded, and I promise this will come back and haunt the Warriors. He was around since beginning, back from day one at Long Beach Summer League when J Rich and Arenas where balling side by side, he demonstrated a desire to take the team to the top. He never complained, never had attitude and only wanted to be a Warrior. What the HELL!!!

Am sorry but J-Rich is not a franchise player and as much as am sure we all loved him, it was more because of the guy he was an how much of a team player he was instead of his actual skills. The guy had great potential but those injuries really messed him up way to much it seemed like.

This video nearly makes me cry, J-Rich was the heart and soul of this team he is basically the only one left who went through all those years (except for Foyle but he blows so who cares?) without J-Rich we might not be the same anymore.. I have to say this is a sad day for Warriors fans. I understand how this trade helps us, but as a huge Jason Richardson fan, this one is tough to swallow. I hope Wright becomes the player they say he's going to be and that a trade for another player happens sooner rather than later. We'll miss you J-Rich.

i wish him luck in charlotte. but honestly, the warriors came out on top in this trade. they got a top prospect. it will take time for him to develop, but he looks like a chris bosh type of player. and we also get the $10 million trade exception allowing us to use that in trades. it also clears up salary to resign ellis and biedrins after the 07-08 season.
