I'm sick and tired of the class envy in case you can't tell. I'm really sick of the so called 99%ers bitching about how good the 1% have it. 2 of my sons are 5%ers and it's because they both have masters degrees which they paid for 1/2 of themselves while they worked nights to make the other 1/2. Both graduated with honors and ZERO debt. Rubio is not defending anything. He's got it right. Get off the class envy and if you're in the 99% group get up and get busy.
@futureseal1992 quite obviously your a queer loving cocksucker and I hope that you are not a future seal and if you are, I hope you get your whole fucking head blown off on your first day of service. Hey, no offense
"[Commenting on Obama's speech] ... the only way that some of us can be better off is to make other people worse off" Senator Rubio frames the argument as if there is no grotesquely large income disparity gap in the first place. The reality and fact is that the top 1% make an annual income of $1,317,000, top 1-10% make roughly $164,647, and the enormous majority of Americans in the 90% block earn $31,244 annually. He defends the same policies of the past decades that marginalized many Americans
@airplan1e :So go out and get a job stupid. If you're making 30 grand go find yourself a 60K job. If you don't have the education then get off your ass and get it. A really good mechanic at any major dealership makes at least $60K. Nobody's gonna make you King just cause you want them to. Stupid is as stupid does.
@daroldb You miss my point. And then you proceed to go farther by assuming my background. It's unfortunate, but revealing, that your post is a result of the perpetuating notion that low-income Americans are low-income because of laziness. While my original point illustrates the opposite, let to continue to add that systemic economic factors contributed to the current income inequality. In the past decade while GDP rose, median family incomes either stagnated or fell (US Census bureau statistics)
We are on our merry way to Socialism, like the kind that made Europe into the economic powerhouse and place of worker prosperity. So long America, it was a great 220 years of freedom and liberty that our fathers and mothers enjoyed and flourished. Welcome to the Socialist Estados Unidos of the Federal Government of Obama.
"...so blatantly try to divide Americans against each other."
"The only way some of us can be better off is to make other people worse off."
"The only way some of us can progress is by making sure that other people have less money"
"The richest Americans make their money from investment income, which means the money they make available to other companies by investing in them so those other companies can create middle-class jobs."
I 100% disagree with this Rubio opinion of the speech. Obama addressed the national debt threw the whole thing. "no plans to incentivise job creators" He talked about the american energy industry, small businesses, etc. "Divide Americans" Obama pleaded with the house to come together. I have been a big fan of some of Rubio's ideas of how to take the BS out of government but this seems like he went in to the state of the union address with the words of this interview already written down.
@byronbaugh You obviously are confused "divide Americans" means normal citizens, not politicans....it doesn't matter about begging the house to come together. That has been offered time and time again but Obama won't accept the comprimises. As far as "dividing Americans" is concerned, that is entirely true. He is starting class warfare, blaming the rich for being rich and giving the poor someone to blame. We should all be given an equal pursuit of happiness. Come together, compromise
Senator Rubio, I promise to work extremely hard for you when you decide to run for President of the United States. You are the TRUE *hope* of America!
Poor Marco, it can't be easy having everyone telling you repeatedly you need to be the VP nominee
