Pretty good and I think there are many more connections that are possible to make as well. I'm not so sure about the Khartoum scene from The Godfather but it's an interesting, and original, take on that one.

Oh, I forgot. A main reference to "Vertigo" is also Rita's scream with Betty's trying to restrain her. Likewise in "Vertigo" we'll see a flashback with the fake Madeleine screaming and being silenced by her lover and husband of the dead (real) Madeleine when Scottie sees the body falling down from the tower. Both Rita and the fake Madeleine are said to be scared to see what they'll soon become (dead women), Rita because of Diane, Judy because of her unbearable fear and remorse (like Diane...)

red sheets may denote blood but I think it may be a sort of hallucination or Diane's somewhat freshadowing her death (like the corpse in the bed of her "dream"). No, the poor horse on "The Godfather" maybe's too much :-D

Very clever idea anyway, although I think that "Vertigo", "Sunset Boulevard" and "Persona" were the major influences for David (who of course turned everything into something else and as beautiful as "Sunset" or Hitchcock's film).
