  • Our native longhorns supposedly only attack sick or dying trees. The ALB however appears to attack perfectly healthy trees.

  • You have to cut down infested trees. Once infested there is nothing that can be done. That is why it is very important to stop them from spreading by eliminating host trees to save nearby ones. Whatever ones views, Liberal or Conservative, Hardwood forests in the Northeast are important for a lot of people, not to mention the the earth itself. .

  • this is retarted they are trying to save the trees from the beetle but when they find the beetle they chop down the tree and kill the tree

  • We have some of the longhorns variety up here in Canada, seldom seen though, not a huge threat.

    The Pine Beetle is still destroying British Columbia though.
