I have it and i hate it, it's one of the worst cells i ever had, the keypad lock sucks, it makes unintentional calls and even send text messages while in your pocket

the mode seems to be better - as there are less chrome parts visible. this phone is like a fingerprint magnet - thats one of the minuses. the build quality is fantastic though. the best.

i tested this phone a little in a shop, because i'm looking forward buying it, but i was dissapointed with the optical button. can it be made more sensitive through settings? by default it looks like a full swipe only scrools a line or a list entry, wich is awful for the finger, i can't see myself using it too often.

You don't need a data plan per se (it doesn't _need_ to be online all the time) but you'll find it comes in handy pretty quickly to be able to surf the internet on the go, and it does do a great job at it ("simpler" websites work better, though).

Well, non-touch makes browsing harder, for sure.  If you are OK with that, it is a pretty good phone.

Can you disable the screen transitions on the E72? Changing the screen takes longer than usual. So is there any way to disable it?

I don't remember seeing a way to do that. I'm not an expert on S60/Symbian, though.

@PoetryRocksLogic you mean the delay everytime you click on a new page? yes you can go to the theme settings, click options and there will be an option "theme effects". you can switch it on or off from there.

Ive been using the phone for a few months now. the non touch makes it harder, but you cannot get both at once - qwerty/ compact and a large toouchscreen - so its a tradeoff. I sure miss a touchscreen - thats where I came from my previous phone. but the transition was not very difficult, although I miss toushcreen - its not that much, the Dpad is brilliant!
