I am a pianist by nature, but you cannot take one with you. It's really annoying. So I am very interested in the Harmonium and particularly Eastern music styles. The Arabian scale is one certain scale I would use in my harmonium sessions. You played nicely, thanks.
Suddha is like natural note, like one that would occur in the western major scale, whereas komal is a flat (or lowered note) so Bhairav could be noted as C Db E F G Ab B C, except he is doing it in Db (which is more common in Hindustani music) which makes it Db D F Gb Ab A C Db.
@akinderreality Although it would be best said Db, Ebb, F, Gb, Ab, Bbb, C, Db...you need to preserve the scalar order by calling them double flats for music theory reasons. I have been playing this Raga for about two months now...I have been playing it in D (D, Eb, F#, G, A, Bb, C#, D) although sometimes I like to raise the Eb to an E-natural and lower the F# to an F-natural while moving up and down the scale for contrast...funny to find out what Raga it is after discovering it on my own.
Thank you so much. I was trying to learn on a keyboard but the Western music does not quite connect. Now that I am watching you, it makes more sense. And I have already started to practice. Dhanyavaad.
