  • meanwhile a very tiny soccer player discovers an enormous alien telescope pointing directly at it

  • i wish they could have showed a photo of what they say.

  • shungit

  • I wonder what other atoms could be made into balls, C60... P60?

  • how can a telecope see this since it is basically a microscope backwards. sorry i don't buy it

  • see? Soccer now ranks as one of the most played games in the universe. All these balls kicking around... first one in a black hole makes a goal?

  • I hope they Find "Pigs in Spaaaaacce !!!!!"

  • FOOTBALL!!!!! THE LANGUAGE U SPEAK IS ENGLISH ... WE ARE ENGLISH... WE CALL IT FOOTBALL ... THERFORE U SHUD CALL IT FOOTBALL.... PLUS WE KIK IT WIV OUR FEET .. YOU THROUGH YOURS WIV YOUR HANDS .... DO U GET MA DRIFT ???

  • @ew1ns The language 'we' speak... Obviously not the one you speak. Grab a thesaurus and come back in a month, you silly troll, you.

  • Let us hope they don't find vuvuzelas in space.

  • see?

    soccer is everywhere

    soccer is life.

  • @TrailerUploader roflmao!

  • yay canadian ^_^

  • vuvuzela......ugh

  • Nasa: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALL!

  • *...It's a blue ball...* <- Teletubbies.

  • Mr Buckeyballs was difficult and annoying to understand. -_- Interesting topic, but lose the background music...especially the soccer "noise."

  • soccer

  • I' ll need an instant replay on that from UIFA

  • its FOOTBALL BALL

  • @dumbnetworks you mean that soccer ball.

  • what about the vuvuzela molecula ?

  • interesting...

  • Great video Nasa!

  • Great...in a few years, maybe we can play soccer in Space! Kidding, of course. Very interesting! :D

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what are the practicalities of these molecules?

  • @willardftw When we invent a way to make ourselve really tiny, we can play soccer

  • @jabacoco lol

  • @willardftw: Here are a few practical uses: Chemical sponges, components of miniature circuits, lubricants, catalysts, superconductors, Buckycopiers? Yes! In the United States, Xerox owns patents for using buckyballs to improve resolution of photocopies. They are 1000 times smaller than the particles used in conventional photocopier toner.

  • @nyteshdw1 wow, thats pretty cool, but i bet those molecules are very expensive.

  • @charliemant just to be more specific, Water is a molecule (H2O) Hydrogen Cyanide (a poison to us) is a molecule (HCN), Sulfuric Acid is a molecule (HSO4)

Note that none of these are 'alive'.

  • football..not soccer (sorry)

  • @PdishmonkeyJJ

    but more like a... buckyball

  • @PdishmonkeyJJ

    no, soccer is right, sorry

Footballs are used in American football and are eggshaped.

  • @ispaniola oh you mean that eggshaped ball they throw i american "football"? a football is what you can see on the clip right here. end of story

  • @ispaniola That's called a handegg.

  • @supertrinko

    So..?

  • @ispaniola

So they're not a football. As they're not a ball, and used more with the hand than the foot.

A ball is an object of spherical shape.

  • @PdishmonkeyJJ true! I don't know what soccer is but I know what FOOTBALL is!! and is played with da FOOT! :)

  • I want this guy to say "buckyball pattern" over and over again.

  • @ELuhn Me too...could hear that all day....

  • @ELuhn I love his accent!

  • Wait doesn't that mean that they found Life? Isn't a molecule alive?

  • @charliemant No. All life is made from molecules, but not all molecules are life.

  • @ChuckyJesus666 Thank you for the info. What a interesting name you have chukyjesus666 what does it stand for?

  • @ChuckyJesus666 Who is your God Pirate?

  • i love the vuvuzela sound added.

  • i so wish they would have put subtitles up for this video

  • NASA should use the bucky ball design for the next World Cup.

The next World Cup should use a NASA bucky ball.

I think it would be the best ball ever and we'd see the best soccer ever.

    HEY NASA!!!!!!

Please design a bucky ball Soccer ball.

Maybe even sell it for millions.

  • vuvuzuela is the sound of Satan from hell trying to get the bucky ball.

This is scientific proof that the Jabulani ball they used in south Africa was stupid cuz it wasn't a real soccer ball.

Keep the bucky ball in soccer, no more changes. Honor the bucky. It's a universal ball.

  • cool

  • Very cool. Really liking these videos.

  • Proof that even space aliens play football. Neptune FC ftw.

  • God never ceases to amaze!!!

  • @Mrcharliebobo i think so too

  • Alian plat soccer

  • Space Jabulani !!!!!

    Serves to bacteria play football

  • lol why would they put vuvuzelas

  • Vuvuzela!!!

  • What next? "Golf ball found in space! Might be due to playing golf while on the Moon"

  • I wish I was rich so I could donate all my money to science.

  • @VanKlaunch Me too buddy. Maybe one day

  • @VanKlaunch

    my dream too

  • awsome

  • Next up, a Vuvuzela shaped quasar!
