He said it was 'slow and not enough action' and I told him "It's a comedy, there's not supposed to be much action. And besides, it goes slow to develop the characters. Maybe watch the sequel, there's more action." Although he said he didn't want to. I'll have to tell him that I didn't like the original Back to the Future when I first saw it (I started to like it as I got older, though.), but I saw the sequel and I liked that one. As well as the third one. I'll be sure to tell him that.
