Where I grew up in the States a jumper was used to describe a one piece body suit, like overalls with arms, often used for warmth while sledding in the snow. But I also knew that a jumper in Britain was a "sweater". I'm a bit surprised that people seem to be so shocked by this one item with dual names. In America, "soda" and "pop" are the same thing. Yeah, things will be different in other places, duh! What no one is talking about is how awesome James May is. Which they should be doing instead.
