  • ** FUNtastic **

  • I vaguely remember hearing this song long ago............nice to see the film clip and to listen to the song. Thanks Yuanji. One day I'll come and translate all the songs the meaning of which you do not know and wish to know.......

  • @DilipCoulagi - You are most welcome, my dear friend Dilip. I thank YOU for your kind words and look forward to see you here in Sri Lanka.

    Take care.

  • @DilipCoulagi who has sung this song? voice and stylisms sounds like Kishor Kumar, but was he "IN" so early?

  • @dilipthosar - Yes, non other than late Mr Kishore Kumar and Shamshad Begum.

    Kishore started singing in 1947.

"Music director Khemchand Prakash gave Kishore Kumar a chance to sing Marne ki duayen kyon mangu for the film Ziddi (1948). After this, Kishore Kumar got many other assignments......." according to Wikipedia.

    Thank you.

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin thank you!

  • very lovely!!!!

  • hahahaaaa

  • At 0:36 Vyjayanthimala, while moving backward, casts a quick glance behind her to avoid a raised step on the floor and tripping against it. A clever safety move perhaps not under advice from the director.

  • First of all thank you very much for all the videos you post on youtube. I appreciate a lot your comments on these videos, they help me to learn so many facts about the singers, lyrists, films and so on. Thanks again for keeping us in touch with India and and old days that are just in our memory and may not reflect the reality. By the way I was surprised to read that you dont know either hindi or urdou then how do you do!

  • @242012ful - You are most welcome, my dear friend and thank you for your kind words.

With regard to your query, though we do not know the language, we can "identify" a good melody.

After all, HINDUSTANI MUSIC IS THE BEST MUSIC IN THE WORLD!

So much so that many of the songs what I have posted here have been "re made" in to our local languages long time back and many Sri Lankns are very fond of these valuable melodies and related artists.

I am one of them, BTW. LOL

    Thank you and take care.

  • I read somewhere that Karan Dewan edited a film magazine from Lahore before entering movies. His office was situated on Railway Road near Chowk Baraf Khana. Does anyone know more about this?

  • I believe Karan Dewan belonged to Lahore where he first edited a film magazine from an office at Railway Road near Chowk Baraf Khana. Can anybody confirm this?

  • Another actress introduced in this film was Padmini. I believe she is the same actress with two other sisters Lalitha and Ragini, if so, she looks very different in this movie.

  • Hindustanmein Talki film mera matlab Hai Sound shuru hua 1931 se. Ye baat Aap logomeinse bahut sare jante hain. Aapmeinse Bohot Bhai aur Bahene paida bhi nehi hue.Main khud bhi paida nehi Hua tha. Jahan Mard aur Aurat Ek saath Kam Karte hain wohan apasmein mel bhi Ho Sakta Hai. Shadi Biya To Upar wale Ki Haath. Un Purani Dinoke yaad ko Naye zamane mein Taza karnese Faida Kya?

  • @shivkumar1945 - I am sorry, I do not know Hindi or Urdu languages.

Can you please translate this in to English, in order for me to send a reply?

    Thank you.

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin He is saying that sound movies (talkies) were introduced in India in 1931. Many of you know this thing. Many of you were not even born at that time. I was also not born then. Where there is mixing up of men and women, mutual relationships develop. As far as marriage is concerned, it is in the hands of God. What is the use of reviving memories of gone by days in the present times?

  • @orientlover1 - Thank you my dear friend for your kind action of translating that comment.

    I appreciate that very much.

By the way, I do not think that comment need a reply from me!

Thank you again and take care.

  • please up load more old comedy songs

  • Dr. Bali, a married man had no option but let his wife go and marry Vyjayanthi. Shhh.

  • @RealMusicKing - Don't worry. All those secrets are safe here in this channel since no one comes here. LOL.

  • Hi Yuan. TY. Funny song. Kishore sang his first songs for SD in this film and so did Talat Mahmood.

Karan Dewan was younger brother of producer Jamuna Dewan who made quite a few movies in 40's(Rattan) and 50's(Anmol Rattan) both starring his Karen as the hero. Karan was considered one of the top hero's of 40's. Come 50's, he began to fade away because of new era boys such as Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar and others.

  • perhaps this was ist hindi/urdu film of vyjantimala as heroine n one of the last film of karandewan as hero ..v have Ratan cinema in lahore which was made on the entire. income of film ratan in 1945/46.the hero of this film was also karan dewan.male voice of this song is that of kishore kumar

  • @mazharmahmudkhan - Yes, this is Vyjayanthimala's first Hindi film.

    Thank you.

  • @mazharmahmudkhan The name of the first released film of Vyjantimala was - perhaps Ilzaam - or some similar one which I am unable to recall - but not Bahar -

her talents included excellent dialogues in Bhojpuri language and flawless Hindi which made her No.l heroine after Dev Das and Madhumati - she has paired with Dilip Kumar in maximum number of films - her films remain evergreen !

  • Bahar is remake of a Tamil Film. Both Vajyanti Mala and Padmini were introduced in this film. Sainya Dil Me aana re from this film was one of the super hit song of that era. Thanks for up-loading this video.

  • @prabhakala - You are most welcome, my dear friend and you are absolutely correct about the original Tamil film.

"..........AVM Productions Tamil movie, Vazhkai, which was directed by M. V. Raman, and later remade in Hindi as Bahaar (1951)..........."

It is all written above under Vyjayanthimala's biography.

    Thank you.

  • OMG !! So this is Vyjanthi Mala !!! How sweet at the age of 15 ! Never seen this before !!!! Thanks Yuan ,You are doing great job. Thanks to Bobby who forward this video.

  • This was, perhaps , Vijjis' first Hindi movie. She looks so captivating !!!! A masterpiece. Thanks for uploading !!!

  • @bakshihs - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

You are absolutely correct, this is Vijjis first Hindi film at the age of 15!

  • Yuan Ji, I thoroughly enjoyed the upload..

  • @chotasagar - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

  • Good song thanks for posting

  • @juneg1964 - You are most welcome, my dear friend Dr. Arjun.

  • Vijji, a most natural actress even at age 15( Yes, she was that young in 1951)! The easy-looking creativity with which the starlet deploys her eyes and different parts of her body clearly was a product of her excellent training as a Bharatnatyam dancer--a genre in which an artiste tells entire stories with her physical moves and expressions. Thanks, Yuan.

  • @chamogaa - You are most welcome, my dear Professor and thank YOU for the very nice comment.

Just imagine Vijji entering in to the highly competitive Hindi film industry at a tender age of 15. Unbelievable!
