  • .Plus qu'un groupe, une part de ma vie! Je ne pourrais jamais assez remercier Paddy McAloon et les Prefab Sprout pour l'émotion que je ressent à chaque écoute, et ce, depuis plus de 20 ans.

  • you offer infared, instead of sun

you offer paper spoons and bubble gum - classic lyric, love this song, love the band.

  • ace performance

  • "As obsolete as warships on the baltic"

I hope the 'songwriters' of today are sufficiently ashamed of themselves after listening to this.

  • @lacerda70 I agree with you

  • Definitely one of the best driving songs ever! Great band. Steve McQueen was my favourite album... Can't believe how much Paddy McAloon has aged since 1985 - I know that 24 years is a long time, but some people obviously age more than others, though his voice is as young as ever.

Band gwych sy'n fy llenwi a nostaljia!

  • PRICELESS ... thanks for sharing

  • Prefab Sprout, national treasure. Few know how much. I shook drummer Neil Conti's hand in a pub-club on the Harrow Road last night, and told him as much. He appreciated it. Thanks for the music, Neil, Paddy, Martin, Wendy.

  • Fair dues, Ch. THis is fking brilliant... the keyboard sound is .......... well, thank fk i dont have words for it. im jsut lovin' it. Paddy McAloon, yer a genius.

  • my fav!

  • Now that's what I call a REAL band ...

  • Awesome, indeed!!!

  • Best friggin group of the 80'. Peace to you all!

  • Steve Macqueen is one of THE greatest albums of the 80's

  • i would agree, and Swoon is pretty awesome too!! ☺☺☺

  • I am just getting into thier music. Its so terrific!

  • forgive me faron young for four in the morning...

The sprout were complete class IMO. The vox were so uplifting around quality music.

It never seemed to be about knocking out hits just songs that stick in your head forever.

    Thanks for posting up

  • I remember the chorus going on for a lot longer when I heard it on the radio as a kid. Was there ever a single release or an alternate version?

The chorus has to be one of the most fantastic things in music ever.

  • Agreed. For some reason it still gives me chills.

  • check out the acoustic version of this he released in 06 with the steve mcqueen reissue..it's amazing!

  • watch?v=t22_fEpYzi4

  • great song

  • One of my fav song ever!

  • Great tune. Four wheels good vs. Uk title Steve McQueen...it's all good.

  • "This is Faron Young."

    Yeah, and I'm Ernest Tubb.

  • Wrong - it's Faron Young, four in the morning
