I have this "promo" 45 on Geffen records. Says on the label "promotion not for sale" oneside is stereo and one side is mono. Looks like it's brand new.
@katmusic2006 This was a show out in L.A. Called Pop Rocker. I am the guy on the keyboards in Whirly Girl and the red Gibson on My Ride. I did sing Whirly Girl with Orlando. He sang My Ride by himself:)
@ishledesmay I was fortunate enough to see you guys in concert with Hall and Oates back in the early 80s. You were amazing!! And after the concert, I was fortunate enough to get to say hello and even managed to score Orlando's autograph. You were really nice to the fans and I wanted to let you know I appreciate that. I still have my album and still enjoy listening to it...I wish all the songs were posted on YouTube...great stuff! Thank you so much!!! :)
I sincerely think you were on crack during this concert. or you smoked a "really really really BIG joint" before the concert. (as in your interview) there is no other way that your music can be so bad.
Nope. No Crack 4 Me. So why are you looking at my stuff if you hate it so much? Nothing is for everybody. Would you like to share any of your talents with us so that we may judge or critique you?
Your ears must be broken because sorry, buddy, I'm not hearing the same thing you are and mine are fine. Hell, I just bought this LP today so I could hear it again after so many years. The music is awesome! :D
The 80's had all kinds of music. This is what we came up with trying to fit in. Simple as that. So far there is The 40's and The 60's as far as great music goes with a little 50's in there as well. The rest is wishy- washy in comparison.
Even though by today's standards, this seems dated and yet this retains it quirky coolness. And yes, I bought the cassette tape of this ground and I still play "Whirly Girl" on my Ipod when it comes up my playlists. Thanks for this.
I gotta say...I love that song! I sing "whirly girl" to my 2 year old and she spins around like a top until she's dizzy and falls down. I should get that on tape and make a video response! Thanks for posting this and for all the times I've danced along.
I Love "My Ride" and cannot find it anywhere to download. Thank you for having part of it..

Whirly Girl is an excellent song (upbeat, fresh, etc.). Thanks for posting it. Could this version of Whirly Girl in its entirety be posted?

WEA or WMG will just render it mute. I don't own the recording. They do:( Thanks though:)
