  • love this game, and dont think it had a bad port, i used to play it on ZX spectrum 128k and it was a great port, just minus the colours

  • I have play a number of versions of this game. I also have this on Midway arcade classics v3. It's a fun game.

  • the arcade was awsome with the steering wheels and gas pedals.... i also loved the port on the nes

  • i remember this game back in the arcades, the cabinet sitting next to michael jackson's moonwalker. i think john is making this review late at night so as to not wake up his wife. he is whispering into the mic, hehehe

  • @lynxgamer Yeah the Lynx does have a good port of this game. I agree. =)

  • Thanks for the review; this took me back to my childhood. I remember the steering wheel for the arcade cabinet had no end caps on it so you could keep rotating it as much as you want. It made the experience much more challenging. But as I got older, I understood the significance of it.

It actually made steering and cutting corners MUCH easier. :D

  • Great game!! Thanks for the review!!

  • That brings back some good memories

    as always great job

  • ohh....memories

  • looks like super sprint

  • @KillingJoke696 super sprint was awesome but before that, came sprint, the foundation for these types of driving/racing games

  • great vid John

  • Super Off Road for the SNES should have been called " Super Super Off Road"

  • Played this a lot on my Amiga.

  • My cousin has this game for the NES. I have played this game on the very collection you mentioned. Unfortuneatley this collection is the weakest in the series IMO. Still worth owning if you are a die hard fan of the games on this collection. Would be awesome if a MAT 4 came out.

  • Great racing game John, I used to play it a lot when it was at Playland Arcade in Times Square back in 1991.

  • I had this for the NES. It was such a blast to play.

  • @thevigilanteoflove Same here i enjoyed this game quite a bit back in the day .

  • that was one of my favorite games at the arcade.

  • this game on the Sega Master System was and still awsome

  • Super Off Road is an awesome game. I still love playing ports of it now.

  • lol i love this game somethign about the sprites makes me just want to keep playing ! i also loved super sprint on the NES for the same reason !

  • Reminds me of RC Pro AM

  • do the mid way classics series work on the 360?

  • I spent some serious time on this one back in the day. You are right this one is a lot of fun.

  • Hmmm, this looks pretty generic. But, I can see why back then someone would have loved it.

  • That was my second favorite Arcade game growing up, I was always to cheap to pay for extras though.

  • This game had a big free spinning wheel that everyone would spin around as fast as they possibly could, probably prematurely breaking every Off-Road machine out there, unless they were just really durable. I never played it much but I guess it worked when I did... I sure always gave it a spin when I walked by though.

  • i remember this game at a bowling ally it sucked it was also btw in a pole position 2 cab if i remember correctlly

  • nice boobs on the player select girls ;) and I love this game played it all the time at a pizza place when I was young great review as always John :)

  • oh man I was horrible at this game, still alot of fun though

  • @Eckori ha ha me too
