im sorry to say that people but acording to some of the comnents one replaies to
another., a lot of you r missinig the point.. really guys i bet this is not what the members of this band (dead or alive) and god bless tham all ,has expected.
every one can understand the songs and the movie as he wish to understand it! freedom for your thoughts - and its dosent matther who is right or wrong p.s - sorry for my not so good english.. i tried :)- peace
i just had a complete revelation about this whole thing. The bricks in the wall were things that sheltered him. Cut him off. When the wall came together, he was totally cut off.
This movie is freaky and great... First time watching it and I like it. It's like an extended music video.
BTW, what's with the freaky faces that keep showing up? THe people on the train and the kids had them sometimes and it showed up as a shadow on the kid's wall. It's freakin' scary looking.
@spudboy1991 - right man, very right... I think the similar way, and nice guitar riffs there also - vocals are without any mistake, maybe the sound quality could be little bit better by this upload - at least I think so... :-)

this makes no sense to me. people are running/rioting, then flashbacks of the war, pinks dad dies hes at the playground and then a cartoon about some crazy things, the british flag turns into a cross, and then he goes to school, and then some dude is with this girl and hes with his mom but then hes not with his mom and then hes with his mom again but shes with a dead person. WHAT THE FUCK
i think you have to try to understand what Waters is trying to portray, it often reflects the oppression and lack of freedom and mental instability that he has faced and overcome. He uses Pink as an example of human nature and how it is the things that we do and experience that can affect the person we become. Like power and prestige = Pink as this great musician or leader......if you catch my drift?
not only that but also how childhood abscenses and everyday trials can affect a person going through that time and place i wonder what the movie would look like now almost 40 years later
That part where he put in one coin, then dialed the operator... LOL! Would you believe in some places (even in the US I heard) they STILL have operators?! LOL
I'm not sure. All I know is, I have an aunt that's worked for what's now Qwest since the early 70's when it was still Pacific Northwest Bell & that's what she claims. (Or claimed, more accurately, 2 or more years ago when she told me. :))

I'm all for reformation... Bit you have to draw the line at some point! ... "RIGHT NOW"!
The next generation have too much power, right now! They're praying on the Govt.'s ability to pay Phychological Disabilities!
In some cases, caused by their addiction to Drugs! "What a Country we live in"! Grrrr

The masks represented the way every child was expected to look the same in school.
Yeah, they are freakin' creepy, but it proves a good point (:

think of it all like a dream. you really have to think to understand, but at the same time if you focus to much you'll miss the big picture.
