@babychanel21 I really like the TV with Google and integration so far. I know of others who have tried to purchase integration, and they have problems with the UI. Con: the remote is poor, and you can't just buy any old remote to replace it. The buttons are tiny too.
@BillieJean900 There are some really good articles on available on the difference between the three, but in general plasma is made with gas (gets hot), but some people really enjoy the warm image, LCD has a monitor of liquid crystal that has to be backlit with florescent lighting(so some don't like how their eyes feel after hours of watching), and LED also uses the same backlit technology, but it uses light-emitting diodes (of which many don't have the same complaint of eyestrain).
@BillieJean900 Plasma has better viewing angles than LCD, no wash out, and deeper blacks. Benefits of LCD is no burn in and better on energy consumption.
@tubemaster2703 C-M absolutely loves the new toy. I sit on the couch, he jumps up on my lap, and he's a little TV addict for the time i'm there. I haven't used the TV as a baby sitter yet, but maybe i'll get some programming for him and see if it works.
Ok, maybe I should've been a little bit more specific here. If I already have a digital cable box, would I need to make any special connections from this particular tv to the box?
@tubemaster2703 OK, my bad. I didn't understand what you were asking. Here's my short answer. To get Google TV, I believe you have two choices: 1) stand alone TV with it built it (i.e. Sony LED TV, like the one I purchased), or 2) purchase the Google TV box for $299 from Best Buy.
I have not done the full review on it yet, but from my preliminary viewing of what Google TV has to offer TODAY, I'd say it has a ways to go before it would be worth the full price, but it clearly has potential.
@yourlilchinagirl Ok, the box is what i'm talking about. Since I alreadyI have a digital cable box, would I need to connect the google tv box to the able box and then to my tv?
@tubemaster2703 I don't believe so. I believe you would need an HDMI cable from the TV directly to the Google TV box. But because I don't have one of those, I can't check for you; however, that appears to be standard these days.
@yourlilchinagirl You're welcome. And good choice on getting the tv. How much did it cost, and was google tv included with the tv? With google tv, you you have to pay any monthly fee?
@oliver18754 Best Buy was having a special, $899.99 includes delivery. Google TV is built in; selling separately is $399, I think. I don't have everything set up yet, so I'll answer those other questions in a second review about the features. Thanks for asking.

@GMELECTRONICS365 bahahahahahaha! You must like the "just slept in, geek girl with glasses" look. My friends think I clean up nicely. Part II review coming soon.
@YamazaruNinja That was the preview. Next, once I get all the features working, I'll walk you through. Right now, I'm trying some free streamed services.
@tubemaster2703 actually, it walks you through everything, even correcting for commercial versus residential (home) viewing due to lighting. Just not really liking the controller. And I'm having a hard time setting up on Google because it needs an additional email address not tied to my Youtube account, oy.
@tubemaster2703 If you like you're cable, you keep your cable. The features included with Google TV have some that are included, and some you pay for if you want extra. I just don't think I'd watch cable all that much if I had it.
@tubemaster2703 Why should I pay for cable that I don't watch. If you want to be good at anything - writing, dancing, tech, sports, etc - you really don't have time to waste on the boob tube. But I do like to stay connected, see the news, and I like movies. This is really the perfect solution.
@yourlilchinagirl Netflix and Google is the way to go. I personally don't have a TV in my room, simply because it has always bothered me. But looks nice in that room. I am assuming that is the family room/living-space. I am not much of a TV person, but who doesn't like nice shiny screens.
