  • how the fuck this trees can by still standing?!

  • Katrina was a punishment through coincidence. Bush had sent the U.S broke by invading Iraq illegally, and by the time Katrina had made landfall, the U.S had not one dollar it could spare to help the city.

This whole thing had proven that even the most powerful man on Earth can act like an entire city never existed when you're too dumb to know what to do.

  • not in my life have i ever seen something like that! Amazing and fucking scary

  • JESUS. That's soo fucking bad.

  • omg i feel so bad for people who were there i would of been freaking out

  • tree : 'i'm just goin along for the ride'

  • u should have tried screaming, to see if u could here yourself in all that wind. xD >:)

  • Hi I live in Italy, there are no events like this .... but how long on average a hurricane?

  • @ElgrinGoLoco100 you'd watch the storm coming on the news for about a week. and then there's the final week as it hits the jamaica -cuba area and heads straight for you. then for twelve hours the weather gets progressively worse unitl its like this. and it stays like this for 8 to 10, maybe 12 hours. in 89 my family had a neighbor that chose to ride hugo out near charleston, their family soon moved back up north, they were never the same.

  • sideways trees... no biggie. i'd just go for a stroll. maybe stretch my hammies out a little before i fly around like drunk superman.

  • fucking A~! I guess not a good time to grill some hot dogs and burgers on that lawn.

  • Strong ass trees son.

  • @jjintrish umm it depends on the intensity of the hurricane. Like when I was in Hurricane Wilma here in Hialeah, Florida. The winds whipped around 115 mph for about 4 hours straight, than it was silence for about half an hour, than it was at 100 mph for about 14 hours...it takes about a full day or day and a half

  • wow

  • i'd piss my pants just standing indoors. that is not normal.

  • how did you survive

  • wow thats amazing and scary

  • how long does a hurricane last after it hits

  • Rotate the video 90 degree and it look like trees grow into a waterfall !

  • Water and wind!

  • How'd you get in that spot. O_O Or..how'd you get out of there??

  • Drove right into Gulfport (we had special permissions) and then drove right out again. Actually, the drive out wasn't easy - we had to dodge huge piles of debris, drive the wrong way on the highway etc.

  • its freakin amazing the power of mother nature

  • Looks like a nuclear explosion

  • this is incredible

  • This storm had incredible power

  • beginning of Left 4 Dead 2 (rumor)

    o.o

  • WOW! I wish I could have been there, what an awesome sight! However, the destruction created by this kindof power is anything but awesome, I pray for the people who were affected by the monster.

  • Naw, just fly a hurricane hunter .... hmmmm.

    Lynn in New Orleans

  • f'n sick

  • excuse me i was in gulfport mississippi and i was riding out the storm at bou view elem school we had a wind gauge and we were far inland and the gauge caught a 163 mph wind gust and 140 was steady so get yo fucking facts straight

  • Can you post a link to a report where these findings were published please...... IF what you are saying is true, that would be substantially higher than anything known to have been recorded in Katrina - The highest recorded gust published by NOAA was 136 mph

  • I was on another chase team using this same structure for cover. We definately experienced Cat.4 winds and conditions at Hancock bank. just a few more blocks east was complete devastation. I think we had a cluster of tornados or vortices in the eyewall that made things more intense than what the NHC was reporting..

  • Dude, I'm in awe. I've been enthralled by storms all my life, but never saw footage like this before. Hurricanes and 'nadoes are the monsters, and this video proves that having a party to get through something like this isn't the answer. Why hasn't this been shown on world wide newscasts to encourage evacuation? Incredible work you've done. Be safe and keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for the brave footage, bro. But considering that in a 100+MPH wind, things are flying at you with the same speed...not very smart!

  • man i'd have to bleach my pants for weeks on end after something like that! i'm here in southwest arkansas right now and we are having some of the remnants of Ike. It's windy outside like 40-45 and it's creeping me out enough as it is. coudn't imagine going through this. total respect for you documenting nature's fury man!

  • @pksmb1120 That's funny!! But yes, I can imagine that being the case. LOL!!

  • do you guys notice how the medias trying to play every hurricane up to be just as bad or potentially worse than katrina? I know people should take precautions, but I feel like telling those fuckin news guys, " sorry assholes, this aint katrina, so try again".

  • all the vids of katrina I saw so far were a lot calmer and showed how it started.

now let me say...DAMN! That is a beastly storm!

  • Your really brave for doing such a thing....

    that looks really fierce, lol

  • @giglebrat01 thats what i thought as well

  • wooooooooow....thats a very strong wind..

  • Is that SEA WATER???????

  • Yup, that's seawater about 1/2 mile inland. At that point it was about 3 feet deep. Came in real fast and ended up about 5 feet deep at the deepest. Winds right there were about 110 - 150 mph.

  • @stormhunter27 And that's only a cat 3??

  • @wishpackers

Very high end Cat3. It was about 5 mphs below Cat 4. I still consider it Cat 4 because that's what it felt like. Damn...

  • @stormhunter27 -- the amazing thing is that the most intense winds were recorded about 5-10 miles west of there, at Waveland. Those gusts must've reached 150 mph!

  • @SonOfYoungwood And when it was all over there wasn't much of the town left for its residents!

I live in Spanish Fort, Alabama, right across the bay from Mobile and we had wind here at about 80mph-90mph.

and the Mobile Bay Causeway was under 25 feet of water! Its simply mindboggling how large the impact of the storm was! Kudos on the footage and keep up the good work

  • @stormhunter27 check this video. This was 2006, the power of a category 5!!

  • I still don't think that was just a "Cat 3" 5 mph or not...that damn store was more than a 3!! My family in Biloxi and first part of Ocean Springs lost EVERYTHING!

  • yes it was insane i live thought that

  • That... was insane!

  • Amazing

  • Sick.....
