  • Berkeley students are Stanford rejects. That is all.

  • UC BerkeleyEvents says it all for me. What a joke. You folks are a bunch of suckers if you believe this liberal loser.

  • Why don't you people actually attend a tea party before running their mouth. You're like blind sheep if you believe this clueless man. All we have ever asked for is that our Government rule by the constitution and quit scamming us taxpayers. We have all been scammed by government since Ronald Reagan left office. Do your homework.

  • @49carol You're an incredible sheep of a human being and have no idea what a tool in the hands of the plutocratic elite you have become.

  • @49carol There are plenty of good people in the tea party that rightly hate being scammed by our politcians, but because they have not done their homework they don't realize that the tea party is a bigger scam than the republicans and democrats combined. The outrage is grassroots, the leadership and ideology is controlled by the very elite that have been screwing us all. Roger Ailes, the Kochs, Dick Armey are controlling the candidate choices, the news, the funding and rallies.

  • The Tea Party is the party of the ignorant, the uneducated, and the crooked. They will be destroyed eventually.

  • @danzigisforever I'm not sure they will be destroyed -- they are the useful tool of the wealthy elite, and used by the elite to give a populist face to programs and policies intended to protect the prerogatives of the rich and powerful. But everything else you said is spot on: The Tea Party rank and file are deeply ignorant and uneducated.

  • One of the reasons the radical right distrust us so much is our eagerness to spill words like, "A football player named 'Mean Joe Green'," with something akin to contempt, even if none is intended. If we ever hope to connect with the right and draw them out on some common ground, we have to get past placing ourselves as an easily accessible other. We all should know the classic cola commercial. We all should know the Steel Curtain. Those of us who don't haven't done our cultural homework.

  • @beloit08 Most people weren't born when that commercial ran and you can find as much ground with the radical right as you can with those aliens from Independence Day.

  • @hitchwatch Rather than go long-winded, let me say this: you're not trying hard enough.

  • @beloit08 Mean Joe Greene retired in '81, get a clue.
