  • What a fucked up generation, if we were at war right now, they would be dead on the first hour, fat, ugly and stupid.

  • @MikelTgR

    That's, Duke Nukem.

  • good vid but at 6:33 the gun is a piece of wood

  • @MrJasonman02

I know. What happened was that I told the people in my group that they were in charge of making their own costumes and weapons, but when we did fittings, they weren't even close to what was accurate, so I had to dip in the spending to get better costumes and weapons. One person said that they had made a rifle, but it was not finished yet. So when it came time for filming they bring this "rifle" that's just a cut out piece of wood. Eveyone had one of my weapons, and was stuck.

  • 0:40 guess he failed pulling himself up...

  • you guys did a great job you did a awesome job i am 14 years old its good to see you know your stuff on wwII i am vary happy about.

  • why no gun sound when they shoot man this wood be THE BEST WW11 d-day youtube video ever with special effects!!!

  • i have one thing to say Awsome!!!

  • beach must've been cold...

  • @nightXriderZ

Not really. Surprisingly it was warmer that spring then it was in the summer.

  • what teacher makes their student spend 2800$ on a school project, honestly

  • @blade9157

She didn't force use, she just said make a movie about any part of World War II that changed that was a turning point in the war, and since we didn't have a lot of weapons and uniforms, we raised $2,800 for our budget. Turns out ours was the only ones that didn't look like crap.

  • "Bloody well done, you lot!" - Me being a steriotypical Brit.. Nice job!

  • more effects and better guns!

  • @TheWoodenGuns

    That'll be $500 please.

  • good film. but do the following using visual effects

  • @aanrechtmuis

I'm going to do a re-release that's going to have more added effects in it. I would have done more, but I didn't have time then.

  • This is so amazing that there should be a number of sequels for this through Normandy and the entire European campaign

  • @marjimjohn agreed

  • @21stCenturyProducton I wish I could be in one of them

  • Respond to this video... Amazing purely amazing especially for a youtube video

  • @21stCenturyProducton

Thank you, a new version of this video with more effects will be here in about a month.

  • Nice job!

  • 2:56 orange cap but other wise great job on effects and find a realistic looking beach!

  • @WheatiesOnBroadway

Yeah, that was the one time the lifeguard came and asked us what we were doing and said we had to put one on there if we were going to finish filming. That was the last shot of the first day anyway.

  • good job but work on the editing more

  • search parande gun store, then go to replica guns, than go to narrow your search, and click 1903 springfield sniper rifle - 35 dollars

  • @2herosofwar

Sorry about the poor design of the rifle. Me and my dad spent months preparing the rifles, and the springfield I had left for my friend to make, and they spent 5 hours on it.

  • @Nathanamerican27 sorry i dont mean to sound rude. hard work and effort is what really counts . great work

  • @2herosofwar

No offense taken. I've heard worse crap from people saying how I fail on trying to copy Saving Private Ryan, when it wasn't even my intention.

  • @Nathanamerican27 thats just the script the people really sed on dday. saving private ryan used it to be accurate, and you used it to be accurate. good job

  • @2herosofwar i tried it wasent there can you pleas send me right name of the web sight becuse i would love to have a springfield.

    thanks

  • u guys are clever with the explosion... going to another beach.... nice guys ;)

  • everything wuz good except the springfield and the german with the automatic m1 garand. great work guys :)

  • Well done guys good work

  • Nice vid except there were surfers in the backround

  • it was good. i liked it

  • it seemed like you just copied saving private ryan... not bad tho

  • @YoungCMrNWB

I tried really hard not to. I'm sick and tired of all the D-Day films on youtube copy Saving Private Ryan and give it almost no originality. I just read as many D-Day book as I could and wrote a script based on what really happened. All the characters have the same names as the CO's that were really there that day.

  • I am kind of doing the same thing here!! any tips on how to make the gun shot sound effects and muzzle flashes?

  • @badayzcrazywayz

Youtube downloader and After Effects Essentials

  • 5:30 a surfing nazi!! Good Movie!

  • Because it's not that good of a video, but I respect the fact u were honoring the soldiers tht fought there

  • @videofreakmanic123

    I= I

I meant be more specific, like what was wrong with it that made it an "epic fail"?

  • where did you film?

  • @TheAirbornesolider

" LOVE IT! were was it filmed???

    whsiriotx 3 days ago"

    "@whsiriotx

A dog beach in Southern California."

  • @Nathanamerican27 dude who are you to talk this was a epic fail of an movie

  • @videofreakmanic123

    How is that?

  • how did you do the under water scenes?

  • @dstruxness

I got a fish tank aquarium and put it in my pool at my house. Then I put the camera in the fish tank and filmed my friends jumping in the water.

    P.S.

I wanted to be more creative so I didn't go for the Saving Private Ryan style film distortion look because it doesn't look like colored war film footage like they wanted. The only way you can to that is to use a 16 mm camera with back and white footage, then ware the footage to blur the pigment in the film, then colorizing it.

  • you need to make it more blue/green so it looks more like a war movie Good job!!!!

  • LOVE IT! were was it filmed???

  • @whsiriotx

A dog beach in Southern California.

  • @Nathanamerican27 wicked!

  • 2:34 THOMPSON DOESN'T HAVE A MAG LOL

  • @crapheadalex

Because it's still in the casing. He doesn't put in the magazine until he's in a secure area where he can take it out and load it.

  • lol the surfer dude is like"wtf" at 5:30 GREAT video anyway

  • one historical tip, when the men of the 29th div. and 1st div. landed, most of them did not shoot until they were at least to a "metal triangle"....those who did were quickly mowed down by german machinegun fire.

  • cool!!!

  • thanks man my vid will take some time. I have to get the equiment and a couple of boats also people

  • hey man me and my friends are going to make a iwo jima vid any tips Nathanamerican27

  • @lucasf3333

If you don't have black volcanic sand, I would recommend that you find someone who knows how to use photoshop and color the soil the correct color. Also, if you're going to film in the morning, don't have anyone eat before the film. We did, and we were sick all day.

  • are u going to make a vid of the marine campaign

  • @lucasf3333

Maybe. This was a school assignment for my world history class, and we were assigned video projects like this throughout the year, but this year is my American history class, and so far no projects have been metioned. Plus it might take us a while to raise enough money for a budget to buy the World War II Marine uniforms.

  • hey will u ever make a vid of the iwo jima or any marine campain

  • were did u get ur equipment

  • @lucasf3333

Here and there. We refurbished a couple that my grandfathers had, others we found on Australian eBay, and army surplus stores. (The ones from Australia are cheat, but they take a month to ship over.)

  • ur vid is really great best ive seen

  • @lucasf3333

Thank you, we spent a lot of research on the film.

  • if u look in the back round at 5:48 u see 3 dogs

  • @lucasf3333

I know. We tried very hard to find an area where there weren't too many people, but people kept coming to our area and asking is we were making a movie.

  • wow dood $3000 i wish i had that kinda money, but great job!

  • @mastermike95

Thanks. It took me 6 months to raise the money, but it paid off. It was the best film of my entire class and I got an A.

  • did you guys really spend over $2000

  • @clutchaxe1

    Yeah, why?

  • Epic

  • @kalaniman1movies

We were'nt trying to rip off Speilberg. Far from it. We tried very hard not to make it just like Saving Private Ryan. We based it off actual stories from D-Day veterans. All the names of the characters are real people who were there on D-Day.

    P.S.

Sorry about the bad acting. We did not have that many dedicated actors with us and again this was for a history project. If this was an actual film project, I would work a lot harder.

  • @Nathanamerican27 fair enough, and thanks for clarifying, but who in their right mind spends $2800 on a history project?

  • @kalaniman1movies

A person who wants to make it look a little bit real so they could get extra credit. The teacher said ours was the best. The others looked like crap. They were filmed in their back yards with weapons made out of cardboard.

  • That was really good Nathan better than your rough cut I guess. I'm kinda proud to be working with you on this. Thanks.

  • @Filmaker92

    Thanks a lot man

    P.S.

Have you gotten your camera back yet?

  • @Nathanamerican27 no not yet. But I'll let you know as soon as I get it back.

  • cut it out nothing

  • @andrew76dc135

    What?

  • @Nathanamerican27 nothing
