  • Could it be the blower resistor if the fan doesn't work on any setting. I don't have a tester to check as per your video.

  • @youtubicator If even the highest blower speed doesnt work, it cant be your blower resistor since the highest speed is not part of the resistor. Its a right-through connection to the power source in order to give you full power from the blower.

  • My 03 Town and County with automatic climate control just started blowing high in any setting including off. Would this be the resistor, or something else?

  • why is burning the fuse 40 amps , looks like the last owner have the same problem because the cables of the motor looks like cut like when you taste to see if there is power with the light tester

  • Hi there, thank you for the video , its great, i tought my minivan town and country limited 2001 had the same problems, and probably does, but i have read the minivan have the automatic control module , i went to autozone and the price is around 100 dlls , but i did not wanted to buy it until to be sure the problem will be solved, I checked the two terminals of the motor and both shows power, in one of the terminals plug of the motor shows like when there is a shorcut, any idea

  • Thanks, just followed your video to replace the resistor on my '07 caravan. I had no blower at any setting, but thought I'd try this first as it would be the cheapest fix other than fuses (which were fine). It works perfectly now and cost less than $25 to do myself! Thanks again!

  • thanks your vidio saved me money by inabling me to fixi the prob myself

  • I had no blower at all. Followed your video and everything turned out great!! Thank you for pointing out that the new one would look verry diffrent. Thank you for walking me throught this in such a profetional way, you saved me a ton of money and a big headache.

  • Is there any way of telling if a resistor is bad by looking at it on any kind of circuit or board?

  • Great info! this is exactly what I needed to fix my blower fan.

  • You just saved me lots of money going to the dealer to fix it. thank you.

  • it's actually a series of resistors.

  • umm....you forgot to disconnect the battery....But good video!

  • I have an 05 dodge caravan. the problem I am having is that the a/c works perfect but only when it wants to. It will blow hot air and all of sudden start blowing ice cold air, what could be the problem.

  • Awesome, simple fix once it is explained. Great video and please keep up the great work.

  • my 2001 caravan blower does not work most of the time on any speed,I changed the resistor and it still does not work. Any suggestions ?? thanks

  • cool

  • 2005 Dodge Caravan. The front air doesn't work at all and the rear only works on high. They both went out at the same time. Any suggestions? Greaat video. I just subscribed.

  • IT'S WOKING GREAT!! ~THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • i had the same problem only worked on high, replaced this now it works on all speeds but not all the time sometimes its totally dead

  • Many thanks for this video - it gives me hope ! I have a similar problem except the blower only works at very very low, no matter how high the swtich is set - could this be a resistor problem too ? (as you turn the switch between off and low, you can hear some whirring like vents opening up, then the slightest of breeze at any setting)

  • Just want to thanks for the video it was well put together. I have not check my van as yet but i am sure it wouldn't be a problem to change. Just hope it is the same waay on my '98 town and country thanks for the video.

  • Thanks it was easy and you guys must have saved me at least 100$.

Please keep posting videos it makes reapirs easier than books and manuals.

    Thanks again

  • my 99 jeep does not blow any air on hi or lo settings.. does that mean the blower resister needs to be replaced? but sometimes it works but sometimes it doesnt work at all? anyone know? thx

  • I have a 2003 Chrysler Sebring Cont, with the same problem. I looked behind the glovebox and could not find the blower resistor. Any thoughts on where it might be. Or did I just look past it? Not to mechanically inclined, but this seems easy enough...if I could only find it.

  • thank you, easy fix thanks to you

  • Thank You, very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • After watching this video, I've come to a conclusion. It seems like every great technician I know has a Sanp-On 1/4 inch drive ratchet with the swivel head like the one you used in this video. Of course, I'm including you sir in the great technician category.

  • nice job

  • Nice fix!

  • Thanks for showing the testing procedure A+

  • another great video

  • This is fantastic thanks alot

  • Something worth mentioning is, the resistor is mounted so that it projects into the air stream to cool it. A resistor by design turns electrical energy into heat energy and the resistor would burn up prematurely if it wasn't cooled somehow.

  • Thank you for this, we have a 98 Stratus withe same problem. Now i know how to fix it!

You do a great service by posting these, thank you.
