  • there it not any point to get a good lather!

  • I use the Smoothing. Its not supposed to lather. If you ran out that fast you used too much. Plus to get the full effect from the shampoo you have to use the conditioner.

  • Try awapuhi wild ginger line by Paul Mitchell. That's probably one of the best lines they have out right now.

  • I use the super skinny paul mitchell shampoo & conditioner , and You're right not really much of a difference /: , Although the Serum works great! I'm a guy with really course hair I use it after straightening my hair.

  • Re: the lathering, sulfate-free & low sulfate shampoos don't lather as much as others do. However, used correctly, it will clean your scalp & hair. In the case of concentrated products, such as Paul Mitchell , you should use less per use. When shampooing, put a bit in your palm & rub your hands together to emulsify & get it all over your hands. Then slide your hands in at the scalp and begin to lather. Slide hands in at front & back then on left & right and begin to "lather".

  • @fiz593 if you are having dry scalp problems i would recommend you use the tea tree lavender mint moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. It had amazing moisture capabilities, and will help stimulate your scalp. I would also recommend anything from the moisture line. I hope that helps!

  • you are pretty :)

  • Lather=bad. I'm a straight boy and even i know that -____-

  • @LOZfan101 Where did you hear that Lathering is bad? Lather is determined on what kind of formula for one, and If a shampoo lathers that means that there are proteins in it. And this is coming from a Paul Mitchell Future Professional.

  • if your shampoo lathers that means its got excess surfactant, try using a cleanser first, paul mitchell shampoo number 2 is really good!

  • super hot

  • To be honest these people and all there words...im a Cosmetologist at a john paul mitchell salon and the super skinny shampoo is MOSTLY sulfate free...which is what produces a lather

  • any hair stylist will tell u that ur only suppose to use a little bit of the shampoo and conditioner and not lather it. this works really good if you have course curly un manegable hair, after one use you will deffintly see results. and you wont see results unless you use the conditioner because thats wat stays in ur hair longer and really makes its softer and smoother.

  • tea tree special shampoo doesn't strip your hair, the lemon sage is the only one that will strip out some color and minimal build up. tea tree is good for many things like dandruff and believe it or not it has scents in it to keep bugs away also. i use to wash my dog with the special because the ticks, mosquitos and fleas would leave him alone.

  • daily treatment is the conditioner

  • I LOVE,love paul mitchell teatree shampoo.that's all they use in my salon& thats how i came to luv it.i love the tingle.only paul mitchell does that for me. my salon sells it, but they were out (b/c it sells like crazy) & all they had left was paul mitchell teatree Lemon&Sage thickening & body shampoo. it smells SOOO GOOD just like sage&lemon-the perfect balance. it did cost more than the regular PM teatree, but it's amazing!! I love it. It's now my favorite.Try PM TTree Lemon/Sage.$32.00 for 2

  • Instead of using the Tea Tree and the other Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner...you should wash with the Tea Tree shampoo but use the Moisturizing Lavender Mint condition, which is also found in the Tea Tree line.

  • i find that shampoos that don't lather are way better for your hair, it usually means their are no sulfates or detergents in it. sooooooo yeaaaaahhhhhhhhhh........

  • what store did you get tea tree special shampoo and conditioner

  • Super skinny shampoo and conditioner is ONLY for really thick, coarse hair because it makes your hair skinnier, literally. The tea tree is great for dry scalp. You would probably benefit the most from 'shampoo one', it will get rid of build up without being too harsh. For conditioner I'd recommend 'the detangler'. It has a pH of 3 which will gently close your cuticle, it is good because it will keep your color from fading.

  • I love the Tea Tree! My hair is short so it doesn't dry out my hair but I love the way it feels on your scalp!!!

  • It looks like your hair is already pretty smooth so super skinny isn't the best for your hair type, i would suggest extra body or the tea tree. also depending on where you got the product could be why it didn't lather, the brands in target, cvs and stores like that are bootleg products, only places that sell REAL paul mitchell straight from the manufacturer are salons, schools and beauty stores!

  • if u color ur hair dont use this it may say this is good for color hair but its not

  • your only ment to use a tense pense peace size amount xxx

  • Did ur hair styler recommend those products to you? Because they are not right for your hair and your hair cut is alright but there are some problems with it. I suggest trying different Paul Mitchell products to see what they can do for your hair. But, another suggestion is to switch hair styles or hair stylists.

And two things contribute to staticky hair. 1) thin hair 2)dry winter weather

if youre using thinning shampoo then thats probablyyy not a good idea, use Paul Mitchell moisture (:

  • i have really tangly ahir and i think that useing the paul mitchell supper skiny serum and the relaxing balm to gether works really well when oyu use a pump of each and pur it on your LENGTH only

  • If you straighten your hair everyday I recommend "Hot Off The Press" (a heat protection spray) because when you use it, it makes your hair resistant to humidity and lightly styles. Also, if you have curly hair, don't buy "Super Skinny Serum" buy it's curly hair counterpart "Round Trip".

  • okay,

First off, DON'T EVER buy Paul Mitchell Products online OR @ stores other then a ACTUAL Paul Mitchell Salons because if you do then the Paul Mitchell product can be counter fitted, tampered & or watered down. & if you really are meaning that the shampoo do not lather like you say you are, it is not an actual Paul Mitchell product. The serum you actually use from you're ends to your mid-shaft. :]

  • I love all the VO5 shampoos you can get it at the dollar store for a dollar

  • @niaZomba their only 75 cents

  • All love V05 shampoos and there clarifying shampoo I think it's tea tree or apple or something but I got it at the dollar and I love it.

  • The Tea Tree Special shampoo is amazing, I agree (: But do not use it, when you color your hair. It completely strips the color out. Just so you know!!

  • yay you went to supercuts! ha i work there ;) Superskinny shampoo and conditioner deff isnt for everyone. And I love love love tea tree.I rarely recommend the conditioner to women though...its not moisturizing enough. Try putting some super skinny in your hair when your hair is dry and the static will stay down.

  • Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny shampoo doesn't have a lot of the chemical that makes "soapy". That's why it didn't lather, it actually doesn't have to lather up like most shampoos do. & btw, if you buy from a place that ISN'T a hair salon it is FAKE. DON'T buy it.!.!

  • man i just bought some of this shit for 31 bucks wtf was i thinking it better help

  • love ur eyes :D

  • the coolest thing is that the bottle can be used as a dildo too! so you get your nice new dildo for only $9.95

    YEEEHAAAAW

  • @ofm2k7 hav u done tht???????

  • @ofm2k7 omygawd.. I'm gonna so try that... does it matter which end first?

I love that fact it will not get me all sudsy inside.

  • CHECK OUT THE ROCKSTYLIST!

  • Hey, just wanted to let you know that the static of your hair IS from the tea tree shampoo/conditioner. I've heard rubbing lotion in your hands until gone and then just smoothing your hair helps. Also the dryer sheets, I've heard, help. Although I haven't tried that method.

  • @josie820 not rly.....ur hair will get staticy if it is rly dry....

  • @josie820 I'ver herd if you kill a pig and render down the fat and let it cool.. into something they called lard in olden times... like yeah.. you just rub that in your hair.

    And it smells like apples...

  • @nadzsac Wow, congratulations on spelling and sounding like an idiot.

  • Did you buy your PM products in a salon or from a distributor?

if you got it a drug store than its fake!!

i use the super skinny line EVERYDAY for shapoos and styles everyday

look behind the bottle if its not PM get rid of it!

sense you said your hair had build up you should probly use shampoo 2 it gets rid of all the build up right out!

  • What you don't realize is that if you're buying this from a website or walmart or wherever you're getting this from, it's PROBABLY not real. The ones from the beauty supply store are real. if you're getting them from your friends then it's real. I actually go to the school and the shampoos lather extremely well UNLESS they're old. That's probably why your super skinny didn't last so long.

  • @CherryDarlingLoves: Don't be ridiculous.

  • I had the color shampoo by Paul Mitchell and I hate it. I couldn't get it to lather and I felt like it didnt come out of my hair.

  • i really hate her haircut... yeeeahhh she shouldn't be doing hair videos....

  • loveee it

  • Theres a reason that the majority of salons use the Paul Mitchell brand. Its good for your hair! Its fairly cheap for a salon brand, and it works. A lot of people are commenting on the ingredient sodium lauryl sulfate. I had a shampoo that had this ingredient in it, and my hair felt dry and frizzy. I switched to the Paul Mitchell line of shampoos, and after the first wash my hair was softer even before I bought the conditioner. Stick with PM, you'll be glad you did.

  • Be careful buying products online it may be tampered with or really old. Diversion is becoming a big problem. Especially with Paul Mitchell products

  • These Product Are totally amazing i work with them everyday in the salon

the Awapuhi shampoo is amazing as its for any hair type and the bestone i love is extra body :D

  • @Babe474 Omg. It IS! I love it.

  • lathering, regardless of shampoo, also has to do with your water type( well, city, water softeners). i recommend buy shampoo and conditioner when you are doing reviews. i go to Paul Mitchell the School Tampa.. if you like the tea tree special, i HIGHLY recommend the lavender mint. its amazing and COLOR SAFE! as a hair professional myself, please take into consideration that just because it didnt work on your hair type doesnt mean it is not a good product. contact me with ANY questions!

  • Non-Lathering: The chemical that causes lathering is toxic. Many companies are removing it. Research "Sodium Laureth"

  • Her voice bothers me. I think her video could be made better by being aware of the tone of her speech... right now it's distracting. Also she should be made aware of touching her hair and fiddling with her hands as it is also distracting.

  • is it for guys?

  • Paul mitchell is an amazing product i use super skinny everyday and tea tree and shampoo 2

  • @MrLakersfan What does super skinny mean?

I'm a guy I know nothing about hair product.

  • @123456iambelial: basically it means it will make your hair look and feel about 50% thinner. very ideal for very thick hair like mine.

  • @MsDDiddy Cool. Thanks.

I have a think hair that might work for me.

  • @123456iambelial Will it calm bushy pubic hair? My underwears poof up so bad. I don't want look like a 12 yo girl down there though.

  • (2) You should always use a cleanser first, then use your shampoo to do the specific job, which in your case is to smooth and de-frizz! You said that its not one of your favourites but I think if you found out the correct way to use it then you might change your mind! Hope that helped!

  • @peterperoxide1 I just bought that shampoo today. I have Treseme shampoo can I use that first as the cleanser?

  • @JessieeMarie Ive researched Treseme and I know loads of people who use it and sorry to seem like a pain but I dont think its very cleansing :( Loads of people say it made their hair really greasy quickly! Paul Mitchell have a shampoo called Shampoo 2 which is deep cleansing, which would be good to use in conjunction with your super skinny!

  • (1) Ive worked with Paul Mitchell products for the last 2 years and I can tell you why the super skinny shampoo doesnt lather very well. You might have already found this out but it basically does what it says on the bottle, so it smoothes and softens unruly/frizzy hair. But it doesnt cleanse!.....

  • The leave in conditioner works well in my hair but I'm a guy so I don't know how it would work in girl hair

  • Nickie is correct that Paul Mitchell products are concentrated.I am a National Educator for JPMS.You can get a good lather from said shampoo by rinsing your hair very, very well before applying. If you generally have issues with any shampoo not lathering, apply a small amount first, then as the old saying goes....rinse, lather, &repeat. You will find that shampooing the second time will produce more suds. The reason your hair had static is because it needed moisture,so good job on your picks!!

  • Im a graduate of a Paul Mitchell School. The smoothing shampoo and condition is aimed more towards people with thicker, curly, frizzy hair. Your hair is neither of those things. 1 reason you don't get a later is b/c all PM Products are concentrated..meaning you don't need to have a lather. It feels weird to wash it w/o a lather but you don't need it. Paul Mitchell products are only sold in PM Salons or Schools.. anywhere else is on black market & could be years old and tampered with!

  • @Nickie16

I was just about to say this!

  • there's are generic brand paul mitchel dupes at sallys beauty supply

  • actually all that lather is a sulfate , which is used in laudry and dish detergent. The fact that it didn't lather much is a great thing. You don't want it to lather a lot , sulfates dries out your hair like crazy.

  • I love that serum...it works wonders for me

  • hey...my scalp is itchy and dry....which one to buy , paul mitchell tea tree or paul mitchel tea tree special...? and where to buy coz i searched alot, didnt really find any good place? well let me ask u where did u buy all these 3 or 4 bottles????? by the way am in houston, texas.....

  • you can get the big version the liter version 2 for 28!!!

  • When your hair does not lather that's because it's dirty and the molecules are grabbing the dirt and oil from your cuticles and scalp. That is with ANY shampoo.

  • I read on the back of Paul mitchell adn some othe salon brands and it sales for sale in salon only, so Wal Mart (and other places like them)isn't supposed to even sell them, plus I heard there like a few years old in stores, and the ones in the salons are newer and arent discontuied(sp) like stores sell also

I found a sebastion hairspray at mejier(like wal mart for those of you who dont have one) it was form 2005!

    gross

  • U mean by "my scalp was getting icky"u really mean dandruff.... idc

  • i've been using the tea tree special shampoo for years, I love it. It makes your scalp completely clean, especially when it feel like it has alot of buildup or itchy. However yes it is harsh, drying, and tangles. I use it once a week and the rest of the days I use a gentler shampoo. It still works and keeps my scalp feeling cleaning for a few days without drying my hair. Also I use it if i've used alot of product that day, if my hair feels extra dirty or greasy. Don't use it everyday.

  • I am a hair stylist. DO NOT BUY YOUR PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS THROUGH A DISCOUNT WEBSITE, DRUGSTORE, GROCERY STORE, ETC. IT WILL BE, OLD, COUNTERFIET, OVERLY EXPENSIVE, OR CONTAMINATED WITH MOLDS/ FUNGUSES. The smoothing shampoo will not lather a lot based on the fact that it is sealing the hair cuticle. NOTHING can touch the super skinny serum. THE tea tree can be a little staticy in dryer weather aka winter, try the lavender mint shampoo, it is moisturizing, color safe, and it nixes the static

  • fyi if you buy products from CVS, Walgreen, or online they're fraudulent. they can be old or fake. not a good idea at all.

  • teetree is good the lavender shampoo you will fiend it good for your hair.its best if you stik to one shampoo and conditioner that you like best.not good to chang it all the time you runout

  • can someone help me? i saw super skinny shampoo and super skinny like ugh i think its the conditioner but they renamed it like softener treatment or some weird name is that the conditioner? i dont like buying shampoos without the conditioner i wanted to get the tea tree but my cvs only sells the lemon sage conditioner X.x

  • they did not change the name and if you found it at a discount chain, grocery store, department or drug store leave it on the shelf and go to the salon. its called super skinny daily treatment.

  • My cvs sells paul mitchel and bumble and bumble and all that stuff like the matrix and chi and my kmart cells a chi and stuff! so you should check yours(:

  • its also fake. stolen product .and really old. dont use it

  • How often do you have to wash your hair?

  • I use this shampoo everyday love it

  • :_)) Glad to see people are Using PAUL MITCHELL! Um, the reason that Super Skinny Shampoo might not be GREAT on your hair is possibly because its not used for thicker hair...Unfortuently!!Super Skinnys awesome. I'd check out a Paul Mitchell School if theres one in your town! OR Go online to check. Becareful for places that sell P.M. Bcoz there are some places that conterfit P>M products. Let me know how Tea Tree goes. Tea Tree also has shaving gel & essentail oils/bodywash too.

  • hat sounded btchy

  • You don't actually need a lather to clean your hair. Lather comes from excess surfactant (a chemical that usually grabs onto dirt and oils but will also grab air particles, creating bubbles). Typically Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate is used... the same inexpensive surfactant that's in most household cleaning products. If there weren't a lot of bubbles that shampoo may have used a sulfoccinate (found in baby shampoo!) instead, which is much healthier for your hair and scalp.

  • @Squatchylicious And cause cancer

  • You look perfect with just a little make-up... Great natural look!

  • u were saying that it was hard to lather so u had to use alot, somtime shampoos are VERY concentrated and u dont need much, and though it may not lather ur only sopposed to use a little. so dont use to much u might end up damaging ur hair

  • I like your vids aloot but can you do somthing whit the adio?

    Love you´r vids

  • I was using paul mitchel of tea tree shampoo for dry scalp it does help the scalp for itching

  • everyone should check out my paul mitchell tee tree shampoo video!!

  • i love them all i tried everyone. but not the 2nd product

  • I love your makeup in this vid. Tutorial please! :)

  • Your hair is probably static-y because the tea tree shampoo isn't leaving any moisture on your scalp like that one person told you!

    :)

  • i <3 the tea tree shampoo!! it's my fave shampoo EVER and it smells sooooo good

  • You can get the tea tree shampoo and conditioner right now for the holidays at JCPennys in a combo pack and it comes with soap too and its like 10 times cheaper than regular. I wash my hair every other day and my hair is always soft. My boyfriend loves it and loves the smell.

  • Hi Erin! What do you think of the rimmel london stay matte foundation i thought about getting it but i dont know please help!

  • woah you look gorgeous in this video!

  • I have the same problem with my hair...maybe I should try some of those products! thanks Erin :)

  • I LOVVE tea tree shampoo. My hair stylist recommanded those to me. She told me to wash my hair first with tea tree and wash it with lavender one for second time. I absoluetely love this combination. During the winter time I use both, summer time I use just tea tree. It makes my hair super duper shiny and I love that tingly "sensation" lol

  • the tea tree stuff is nice. it gives your hair that 'cool / cold' feeling.

and its not tested on animals.

  • i just started using the teatree oil and its literally the BEST shampoo i've ever used.

    my hair is perfecttt.

  • if your hair is staticy, take a dryer sheet and rub ot over your head!!! it works for clothes and it works for hair!

  • Seriously, i think you should just try Maine and tail! :] it's cheap, and I <3 it! I dont know if you like to go for the more expensive brands, but maine and tail works well for me, probally as much as or more than expensive brands

  • I agree. I love Mane and Tail!!! It's awesome. We use it on our horses. But its awesome for your hair too. Its soo moisturizing. Also Flex moisture deep conditioner. I think you can get it at drug stores. It smells kind of thick..and it is thick. But it moisturizes really well too.

  • your eye makeup looks really good!

  • can u show us ur new eyeliner routine?

  • always when i wash my hair - i use alot of shampoo..

have you tried Pantene shampoo ?

people always say that my hair smels really good :) but now i use Syoss and i kinda hate it :/

i love the super skinny shampoo's and serum's packaging - lime green uhh :)

  • Shampoos that don't have a good lather probably don't have SLS in the ingredients, which is actually a good thing! SLS is a harsh, cheap, cleansing agent that's even used to clean garage floors. It just strips your hair and makes it dry. Some people can get away with using it but I think my hair does way better without it. Just remember that a good lather does not equal clean. ;) That shampoo may have not lathered as much as you'd like but it might've cleaned your hair well. Hope this helps! :)

  • honestly, you're using too much on your hair. it's just stressing your hair.

  • I love the Super Skinny Serum.

When I was buying it the hair

stylist said to only use one

    pump.

  • yeahh, thats what i heard too.

  • what did you think of new moon? did you see it yet?

  • Maybe it shouldn't lather so much?

  • Dude me too the shampoo has a horrible lather, i use it daily and i use so much cause i want it to lather more. erg..

  • your eyes look really pretty in this vid!

  • try pureology super straight... absolutally AMAZING

  • oh nice!!

i want to try the tea tree duo now

  • ur hair looks soo nice!!

  • i have the skinny serum too and i really like it!

  • the reason it didn't lather was because the ingredient for lathering is actually like the stuff that makes car wash soaps foam...it's like..."sodium laureth (or lauryl) sulfate" and that's what makes it lather. the paul mitchell shampoo probably didn't have that...because typically better shampoos for your hair don't have that ingredient. lol, cause that ingredient is super cheap.

anyways, you've made me want to try the tea tree shampoo/cond. :D

  • OMG this was so helpful without me even knowing going into watching it. My scalp has been having the same issues! It just feels bad and itchy & ick! Im gonna try that Tea Tree stuff out, So excited! Thanks :)

  • i REALLY like the colour of your hair

  • Can u do a video about

    how you put on eyeliner

    and what eyeliner u use

    PLEASE! :]

  • Thanks for the reviews :]

I was looking for a new shampoo.

  • i love that serum and the tea tree shampoo and conditioner!

  • i need to try that serum!

  • really good shampoos aren't supposed to lather as much as drug store brands. The foam we get from cheap shampoos removes all natural oils from the scalp. With Paul Mitchel a healthy amount of oils is left which we need to protect the scalp!

  • omg i want to enter your contest but i don't have time =( school is taking over my life!! i was going to do a look with fall leaves all over my face for the month of october (i was born on october 4) and have like earthy leave eye makeup on =( i am sad!!!

  • i hate the smell of the instant moisture shampoo its terrible but the lemon sage tea tree shampoo smells absolutely amazing!

  • Erin if your hair has alot of static it means this air is dry and making your hair dry. You just need alot of moisture on your hair. I use Biolage daily leave-in tonic. i love it.

  • I wanna try the super skinny serum(:

  • Did you start taking the biotin yet? I just bought pre-natal vitamins today. I have read that they help hair grow faster and stronger. We'll see.

  • You look super pretty in this video! Thanks for the review :D

  • your hair does look just a little bit longer!! i love you erin!!:)))

  • what does your username mean? wut do EG and SSC stand for? doesn't your boyfriend's name begin with a J?? :)

    cool video! very helpful! thx!!

  • i use 1 pump of serum after i straighten my haIR. TRY IT

  • i have that same problem with the paul mitchell shampoo. i end up using soo much. then once i get to the conditioner, i find that i put too much product in my hand because of the experience with the shampoo! i like the conditioner. it spreads really well.

  • Erin , where do you buy your Paul Mitchell products ?

  • Oh and if your hair is static-y, use a dryer sheet like Bounce and run it all over your hair. It's RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING.

  • I had that feeling to when i tried it!!!

  • Oh man, I HATE when hair products are super expensive and they just turn out average!!

  • omg your hair color is SO GORGEOUS!

  • you had one star, and it looked lonely so i gave it a friend. your welcome!

  • Awesome!

  • reeaally good vid:) good job
