great performance from this remarkable band, if Graham plays in you area go see him, still putting out new music just as important as this song, if you have any other songs from this dvd please post them This is from Squeezing Out Sparks Tour in Japan, Thanks for posting
Lets release all of Graham's best and get rid of rap hip-hop, reggae, crude they call music to day. I can understand thinking this is his best but really go listen to Pourin It all Out Live and then tell me. So many great songs by Parker you can't find on this site but at least, unlike Neil Young, there are not a lot of bad covers . I guess 1 good thing about Mercury - kept him secret so we can breathe better without the lame covers.
The best rock and roll song ever done. I'm RockerBobK9, and I approved of this message! :-)
Heard the live ''45 of this in 1979 (which was better!), and learned it to play in the band I was in. The guitar crunch on the '45 was way more to the fore, made it almost a heavy metal song -- but with Graham's inimitable intense, sarcastic stiletto singing and lyrics almost crafting a new genre of music. GP, you rocked! And never got your due.
Saw Graham a few years ago and someone in the crowd kept yelling for this song. Graham's response -"Trash, worst song I've ever written." He finally relented and played it.
i've loved this song from the first time I heard it, many years ago. " I've got a dinosaur for a representative/it's got a small brain and refuses to learn" is still one of the best lyric lines ever.
Awesome! My favorite Graham Parker song. great video! I still got the single you sent in a clipping from the LP's innersleeve, from Squeezing, then added 60 cents for postage, and they sent it, not a promo.
God he was so great in his heyday. Thanks for posting.
Of course, but not in the sense that artists (and buyers- p2ps) are still having difficulties with greedy, short-sighted record co.s and doing much more of their own promos, free and fee online distribution, etc...
Saw him a couple of weeks ago opening for Nick Lowe. Just incredible. And folks say the '80s sucked.

Probably my favorite also. Funny how the best are often not the most well known. That goes for singers as well as the songs.
