Ray has lost his voice to age and it won't be long until he is gone... another sad day for true country music lovers. The so called music that is dominant today is so bad... yet there are millions that stan and wave their arms back and fothe to the songs, they actually don't have a clue as to real music !
The one and only original here. Ray sounds fabulous as always. I've loved this song for years and even tho it's been recorded by so many artists this song makes them all sound great. Ray can sure sing a love song. The ballads are the greatest and his voice even today is still wonderful. He looks so classy here . We don't find good music like this too often these days. Thank you for posting. - Paula
This is just the best. My mom's very favorite. I lost her recently & it hurts to listen, but I do it anyway. Thanks for posting this one, it's awesome.
@DarkShadows791 thank you...more than you can know & much more than I can convey...God used you greatly. Thank you for praying for me & for sending me this special song.
@theoldprospector ... I totally agree with you... All I like is the "oldies" ET, Vern, Ray Price, Gene Watson, Don williams and so on and so on.... The " good ole boys" I am sad to say are a dying breed. They sure took the western out of country music didnt they...
@isb235 Oh yeah! Real good country music with meaning and sense are long gone. I love all the classic country music of years gone by and can't even stand to listen to the new so called country music. The industry did it and took the country out of country music and the people today think they are listening to country music, it makes me sick. Finally Ray Price now that man had a voice like so many others from the golden age.
Great version of a wonderful song. Thanks for posting!

Still gotta love Willie's rendition! <3

Great pipes, and he sings it right...
He's like Merle Haggard... if they'd been born in a different part of the country, they'd have been in the company of Sinatra, Bennett, etc.
Great performance, great arrangement of one of Willie's true masterpieces.
To hear an example of someone who tries and falls short on this tune, find any of Dave Matthews' performances of it.
