  • Wish I could see them perform live! Love their sound!

Does anyone know if Brian Stoltz was in the back up band that traveled with Patti LaBelle in the 70's? There is a video clip from a Soul Train performance of Lady Marmalade and I wondered if that was a (very) young Brian Stoltz playing guitar.

  • No, Brian is no Leo - he is much better! Brian has a much more versatile background on guitar. He can do much more than play funk! But who cares, this band rocks and Brain rocked with the Neville's, The Funky Meters, and as a solo artist.

  • "This is not what American Indian heritage and culture of today and yesterday is or ever was. Few people involved in this yearly

activity have any trace of Native ancestry. The "costume" style, despite the feathers and such, does not resemble Native American

fancy dress, or regalia, but rather some types of African costumes." This is not honor, Native people are offended by the

mockery. RETIRE THE MARDI GRAS MINSTRELS!

  • Only trolling "Native People" with their own "poor-me" axes to grind, you mean. Louisiana Natives and Africans in Louisiana had and have their own unique history.

  • You can catch Porter Batiste Stoltz FREE at Hollywood Beach, Florida at the Clambake seafood festival on Sat. Sept. 29, 2007 doing 2 sets (3pm & 7pm) right on the beach. Fest dates are Sept. 28-30, other acts include Soul Asylum at 9pm Sat., The Romantics at 9pm Sun., and New Orleans' own funky trombone brass band Bonerama on Sat. & Sun. All FREE. Full schedule at HollywoodBeachClambake dot com.

  • also catch Big Sam's Funky Nation and Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk. Thanks for the heads up chief

  • Comparing Brian Stoltz to Leo = don't go there. They each be great. Brian is no Leo and Leo is no Brian.

  • This band rocks! Porter is a paragon of bass taste, Batiste is simply sick and Stoltz is woefully under

rated buy fools that want to compare apples and oranges. Leo's also great... context? LMFAO.

  • brian Stolz is a great player but will never be as good as Leo Nocentelli in this context !

  • are you out of your fuckin' mind?
