I have been looking forever for this version of this song. I am so happy to find it here. I bought this album not long after getting home from 'Nam. This song made me cry, welcomed me home and made me feel blessed that music was still alive...
@R625REEL: THANK YOU for uploading this. I closed my eyes and suddenly the emphysema, the diabetes, the heart problems were gone, and I was nineteen years old again, picking on the guitar and mourning the loss of my first love, mother of my first child...filled with life, love and longing...and youth...just until the song ended...and it was good. THANK YOU. :')
The older I get, the more meaning this song takes on...
Don't take a single day for granted, folks. Someday, you'll want each one back as a memory. The days spent in anger will mean nothing. But each and every day you spent sharing your hearts will be more valuable than gold, and the more of those memories you have, the richer you will be. No matter how old you are today, there's still time to make more memories. And the last thing you want is to find yourself aged with nothing to remember...
