  • Where is the 'I ♥ Kerry King' shirt?

  • Is the body and the neck all in one peace?

  • I have this guitar and love it, but... it has really cheap pots, the floyd started peal off in some point wtf... bufore buying it I test it with many others, this guy plays fair and he does a terrible job demostrating the sustained sound, it has much more sustain than that, the guy at guitar center demostrated the sustained and the thing whent for ever and ever! not like this guy... if you can buy it cheap do so if not its a pass for a better axe.

  • how much reverb chris?

  • @crpimachine Well it isn't!!!!! I'd expect more from a japanese neck thru guitar!

  • The SL1 is manufactured in the USA.

The SL3 is manufactured in Japan.

I was thinking about buying this guitar from a local guy for about $500.00 but...I'm not sure if I want it.

  • @TtotheBdoubleO Made in Japan or made in the USA makes little difference.. in my humble opinion, both have excellent standards and quality.

  • The sustain isn't that good!

  • @jobjob76 Oh I know man. It's like this, "Here look at this broken mirror. See how billantly the light reflects off of it?"

  • its kerry carnella

  • kerry?

  • ive always wanted one of these babiess but i dont have the cashh :''''''(

  • dunno if the specs have changed since, but my sl3 has an ebony fingerboard an 3 hb's(hotrails ar hb's!)

  • @Jimlead get a rg

  • can everyone who can please explain to me how good the action is on this guitar, everything else I'm sure about but the action is the only thing I'm worried about

  • @RJTheRaccoon1992 Action is great. Have a pro set it up to your liking, but these are great instruments, but also check out the PRS Torero.

  • I bought this guitar seven years ago and i don't like it - not good for shredding (particularly sweeping), it's hard to get a good tone, this guitar is too heavy and there's too much noise with it because of the neck in the body. This guitar can be good for old school trash metal but not for playing guitar at a higher level.

  • I finaly got it and I loooove it \m/

  • i have this guitar and its amazing its a billion times better in real life

  • i heard that license floyd rose sucks. if i get this guitar, is it good idea to substitute with original floyd rose?

  • @leesm0125 they are both prety much the same, i have a licensed and it sounds amazing!!!

  • @RJTheRaccoon1992 but if im unlucky, i could get the bridge with low tuning stability. that's y i want the OFR. And Jackson USA line is too expensive for me :(

  • @leesm0125 I have owned several USA jacksons including a custom shop... Always been a Jackson user/fan. The other day, however, my point of reference changed. I tried a PRS SE Torero. NO shark fins, but side markers; Neck through, original Floyd rose and 2 super hot EMGs.... I still will buy a Jackson PC-1 for the sustainer eventually, But that Torero is approx $1k. 1/2 price of the USA and IMO equal. Not almost, not nearly, but absolutely equal. Try one and see what I am saying.

  • uh... Dude...thats not sustain......that's called REVERB! duh! Give a accurate review or don;t do it all.

  • uh dude if your talking about when he says neck through design n he says sustain, im pretty sure its sustain not reverb.

  • @frogjim

dude he's the product manager for jackson, i think he knows a little bit more about the guitar than you do

  • @BeezyFilms Dude, that guitar is not so perfect as he put it out to be, and the sustain wasnt that good. Him being products manager for Jackson only shows that he is biased.

  • @jacka94 well no shit hes not gonna say his products suck

  • @jacka94 its all opinion... and the sustain on neck through jacksons are ALWAYS good usa or not

  • Man get an Engl amp and a Jackson guitar and you'll have the best combination to play anything!

  • @HeavyThrashGuitar

he just use the fender amp

    beacause jackson belongs to fender

  • @HeavyThrashGuitar very true^^ i own this guitar and a powerball^^ couldnt be more happy:)

  • @childrenofbodomfan74 Man I own a Powerball too. Now I'm getting the SL2H :D

  • what would people recomend the SL3 or the SL3MG or any other jackson soloist within reason?

  • it has two semoure duncan hotrail pickups as well as the bridge humbucker, very versitile guitar. I have used it live as well as recording and it sounds amazing through my Engl invader ... Get one seriously

  • It has three humbuckers. Two of them are just in a single coil sized.

  • oh gosh. I am terribly mistaken! I thought Joe delaney was WMS's best guitarist. I just now found MUCH differently. This is the best I have seen on here.

  • i would get this guitar if it had 2 humbuckers but those 2 single coils will probebly get in the way

  • I'd say buy SL3MG, it has EMG 85/81 set. If you are not 110% sure you want Rhoads model, you will regret that you bought the V model.

  • you can get the sl2h but its gonna cost more

  • i cant decide between this guitar and the rr24m. which should i get?

  • rr24m only has 1 pickup. do you use/need a neck pickup?

  • id go sl3, it has more body mass wich means better/heavier tone

  • those are actually hotrails, not skt-1s but yea, otherwise spot on haha

  • Seymour Duncan SHR-1N's if im right. how can they make such an mistake if its on the jackson website itself...

  • yea hr stands for hot rails.. not sure if your tryin to correct me or not but yea really, its on the site and everything haha

  • im saying your right. just saying which pickups are actually in there

  • ohh my bad

  • I'm saving up for this guitar, i'm gonna buy it trans blue, it's awesome:P!

  • I'm sold man.

  • I have this same guitar, and my sustain is much, much better than what was shown in the video.

And yes, those are humbucker pickups. They are Seymour Duncan hotrails, and they are just fitted to a single-coil size.

  • Im building one for 200$ bucks haha my local guitar store has the body and neck for 50 bucks each

  • cool dude.

  • I have one. it's Japanese and the only thing is it doesn't have a flyod rose..

  • I own one of these, probably the best feeling neck/action i've ever felt. AMAZING tone also.

  • ive got one of these....

i did a video and played a solo

if you'd like to watch visit my page

  • Those are not single coils, they are technically humbucking pickups, but are fitted into a singe-coil size.

  • and they are voiced as single coils

  • that sustain is not anything above average

  • The sustain isn't *that* good, at least not as good as he says. All of my guitars sustain over twice that long. Still a nice guitar nonetheless.

  • safe to say this guy is much better than whammy

  • where is this guitar made?

    USA?

  • I think it's made in japan! SL1 and SL2 in USA :D

  • so what your saying is,

    guitar center is making people

pay 1450 dollars for a japense chink guitar?

    wtf

  • yes, inform yourself then comment :D

  • The japanese make lots of nice guitars man.

The chink crap is from china like Deans lower level guitars, etc.

Korea is alright, but Japan has some very talented craftsmen.

  • Deans are the shit

  • No it's Japan. SL1 and SL2's are USA made.

  • can balladz be great played on this guitar???

  • your right those are hot rails or some kind of rail pickups

  • He said the middle and neck pickups were STK1s, but aren't they hotrails? I noticed he also said the DX10D was alder, but I'm pretty sure it's basswood.

  • I'm pretty sure they are hotrails

  • they are hot rails (thats what the jackson website says anyway)

  • I JUST FOUND MY DREAM GUITAR!!!!! i want the settings when he was soloing but with alittle more gain

  • i dont knowew if this is right but from my calcuations its treb 6-7 middle 3 and bass abot 3-4

    and gain 8

    try that

  • he's actually just there to demo the jacksons.

  • so he still kicks ass

  • cuz there the only thing worth buyin

  • i hate this guy, he is so lucky to have this job, a great guitar, very expencive for argentina, its lije 3000 dollars for us, you americans al also lucky

  • anyone want one with about 30 minutes of play time on for about $150 off retail price... practically brand new then message me!

  • Even if you get a 250$,the quality of the work is amazing.Best guitars indeed

  • I love Hot Rails! although I don't have any on my guitars, I love how they sound, Humbuckers in Single-Coil form, hell yeah!

  • Does this guitar have white binding around the neck and headstock

  • nope.

  • yeah

  • I didn't know these guys had any reviewers that could actually play.

  • hes in autumns end dude.

  • I didn't know that "dude".

  • prolly cuz ur a7x's "numba1fan"

    pussy

  • Fuck you.

  • haha you like 'a7x' !

    gay!

  • Finally a guitar reviewer who can play a guitar.

  • its the worst guitar to get a in a black finish imo

  • i wonder how it catches harmonics....

  • VERY good!

  • My SL3 has never dissapointed me :-)

  • but don't get me wrong, the SL3 is fuckig awsome! If you check out mye band, you can hear the sl3 in action.

  • this guys cool! better than that douche for esp hahaha

  • loool,that arent single-coils!xD

  • Which guitar should i get SL1 or SL3?

and how much do they each cost? lol

  • the sl3 is about 1,200 and the sl1 is about 1,700 if your really good and got a band going i would suggest the sl1

  • very good - thank you

  • I have both the SL1 and SL3;)

  • Comment removed

  • what do you like better?

  • Since I've got the SL3 befor the SL1, but still i like the SL1 best.

  • My Guitar!!!

  • its not an stk1 single coil its hot rails by duncan of course

  • In fact, sustain is not as great as he says.

  • P'ups in this guitar are JB,Hot Rails, Hot Rails. Just incase people were wondering.
