In case your commenters haven't pointed it out already, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of Sigma's final form if you learn to stand on the EDGE of his hands, with one foot in the air, the other on the platform. This way, his lightning will completely whiff you, and you can take him out rather leisurely.

another tip im not sure u knew but if u shoot launch octopus with the boomerang weapon it cuts off his tentacles so he wont be able to shoot his annoying ass rockets. it doesnt change his pattern to my knowledge

theres a gimmick where if you use the boomerang cutter on launch octopus you can cut off some of his arms, and, also if you use it on flame mammoth you cut off his nose (he looks like a pig after so pig mammoth?) it doesnt really do much but it's fun to try! just thought i'd throw that little fun fact out there :D

if ya read the manga's they actually give you the info on the mavericks, however...they're kinda odd. Armadillo kills himself..and storm eagle was testing x or something for zero(storm was zero's friend) and x killed him not knowing

I once beat Sigma using the X-buster, and no sub tanks. plus I had forgotten to get one of the heart tanks! True story.

Actually for the longest time I always beat him with the X-buster because I thought that was the only thing that worked. The first time I reached him I tried all the weapons and none worked apparently I somehow missed Rolling Shield and it wasn't til later someone told me that was his actual weakness.
