@udasdesign this figure of 80% Nepali are Hindus are from 1990's census. But as of today you are correct that only 35%-45% are Hindus as Nepalese are leaving Brahmanical religion (Hindusim). The dalits are becmong Christians, while Gurungs, Thakalis, Tamangs are predominately Buddhist. And certainly Rai, Limbu, Magar, Hayu, Jirel, Dhimal, Sunuwar, Yakkha, Tharu religion are KIRATISM.
