  • This is awesome, and the music is great! :3

  • What did you use to make this? (I assume you used a drawing tablet) I understand that I won't be able to draw like this even though I have the same tools, but it still seems that the program and tablet you use are very good. I'm trying to figure out what drawing tablet and drawing program I should get.

  • @StrayElectron WACOM pen fun&touch

  • damn your younger than me too, fme

  • skilled bastard ;p

  • What program is this? Painter, Sai, something? I know it isnt Photoshop

  • @macjsus i have photoshop cs4 and you can do the same thing

  • @boom911boom Really, what is with the icons in the top right? I haven't seen them before, that is why I didnt think it was photoshop. I have CS5, and I am starting to get into digital painting. So I know Photoshop has painting features, especially with the tablet.

  • @macjsus I'm pretty sure this is corel painter, I have it and it looks the same.

  • Wow!! you're really good at this... um... can you teach me how to do it step by step, like what brush you use and all that, please???? I really wanna know how to do it, real bad. If you teach me, I am willing to subscribe to you

  • @MrBla342 dude check this guys tutorials out : livestream (dot) com/moatdd/

  • Incredible. She's so beautiful :)

I love Run by Snow Patrol, it fits perfectly.

  • do you have a step by step tutorial ??? thnks !

  • nice work, keep it up!

  • That is awesome! I found it good looking at the beginning already, and it just got better and better and I'm amazed *.*

  • *___*

  • Holy burrito, is this for real?! Her face looks sooo REAL!

  • this song makes it look as if shes gonna close her eyes n smile...if you know what i mean...it's like a movie effect...more of a cliche really. LOL!!...love thi vid too. what software did you use to draw this?

  • wow just wow, actually i learned something from watching this. 5star

  • When I blend colors it gets all muddy before it blends in even you do it in like 1 stroke at 32 seconds, what happened?

  • I have the exact same problem. When i try to blend colours with the any of the tools it screws up. And blending it by painting it over and over and over is just painfully slow.

  • @jankuiper3422 remember, soft brushed for soft materials like skin, Hard brushed for things like metal. also turn the spacing down to about 15%. it takes up less ram and the color is easier to work with. Hope this helps.

  • @charlie6330 Thanks for the tips, I will give it a try very soon :)

  • where's the finished product \m/

  • don't you do backgrounds first so your work blends in? White makes colors seem darker than they really are

  • i was hoping to get into digital art.. but quite frankly i am clueless of wer to begin... i was wondering what components i would need?could anyone help me out? appriciate it (:

  • A drawing tablet and a painting program such as: OpenCanvas, Photoshop, GIMP, etc. Other than that, you need talent which can't be bought.

  • ahh thanx (:

  • You speak some truth about talent, few start out with it. But a lot of practice and a willingness to keep learning and improving definitely helps a lot. (Some newbs can and do get better.) If you're already good at drawing on paper or traditional painting, then you've definitely got a head start when moving to the digital side. BTW, in additon to vids like this OpenCanvas is good for picking up some tecniques because of the .wpe replay files. And the old 1.1b72 version is free.

  • if you're thinking about purchasing a digital art software, I would highly suggest Photoshop. It is a great, all-in-one application. you can draw, paint, retouch photos, restore and resize images, create animations, and create your own brushes. it is the industry standard and if you are a student you can purchase it for under $200. Corel Painter is 2nd and is used by professionals and individuals. I've been using it for just over a year now and it is quite an application but it has its flaws

  • I'm considering buying a Wacom tablet myself. There's the Bamboo Pen tablet for $70 and it comes with Corel Painter Essentials 4. The other I'm considering is the Bamboo Fun for $200 which comes with Corel Painter Essentials 4, Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, and Nik Color Efex Pro 3. I want to be able to sketch and color in the sketches nicely. Should I really spend the extra $130 for the Photoshop Elements or would it just be a waste since I only want to sketch and color digitally?

  • I'm in the same boat. xD I want to get a Wacom tablet, but I only want to be able to make sketches like the one in the video and turn them into nice digital art through shading and colors. I'm not sure what tablet to get get because they come with different programs and I'm like O.O trying to figure out if I really need to spend extra money if there's a simple program I need instead. :P Digital art is confusing. xD

  • I love your art ,, the painting & the drawing ( great )

  • I mainly draw animals, but I'm currently trying to learn how to draw humans, and your work is now what inspires me =] In the middle of the video when you were only half done, I kept thinking, "How can they keep going? This is amazing! How could it possibly get better?" but you did make it better. Well done! =D

  • That was the best thing i have ever seen please post more that must have taken ages can u leve me a comment on my vids telling me how i can get good at drawing like that thank you that was just awsome.

  • do you have a deviantart account?

  • @katie2511 i do

  • @boom911boom could you link your DA account? i'd love to see your other work :) (sorry i'm a bit behind on Youtube messages haha)

  • What program use for this work?

  • Dude, she is beautiful! I'm amazed.

  • which progr do u use..u should put in description to avoid repeting questions..thx and nice colouring.

  • Song??? I thought this was Leona Lewis's! Didn't realise it was a remake!!! Although Leona's version is waaaayyyy better!

  • Dam u can hella color XD grats

  • @HmongBuddha 2 right words in 6, nice:P IdiotXD

  • kool this really helped me figure some stuff out! thanks

  • lol dude, wow. that is awesome. It was actually easier to learn and understand than some of the videos posted by idrawgirls.

I have an intuos 3, i think its a 5x7. I want to learn to draw like this, but im not very good with the tablet. I understand proportions and everything, ive taken a few art classes in college too. I am much better with a large pad and some charcoal.

What can I do to get better with my tablet? What does it take to get to this level? How can I practice, what should i draw?

  • to oaney:

you learn to be as good as that by practice and lots of it and practice the same way you learned to work with charcoal. to get a hang of drawing with a tablet draw everything from still life to portraits and if you can't think of what to draw then doodle, mess around with things have FUN and soon you'll be drawing masterpieces :)

  • which brushes did you use?

  • airbrushes, pencils, blenders, artists oils, acrylics....in his brush pallete

  • please tell me what program have you used?

and how you can draw the girl is pretty

please i need this progaram i love draw

  • this is corel painter

  • Can I make sketches like this with Corel Painter Essentials 4? Because I want to get a Wacom tablet and I want to be able to make sketches like this, but I don't know if I should spend more money to get the tablet with Photoshop Elements 7 or not. :P Any help?

  • corel painter essentials has the most importants tools (essentials tools). Sso, yes you can make sketchs like/better than this, depend on your abilities ;]

  • Thanks a lot! I've asked this on a ton of videos, but no one seems to really just answer the question. XD I just want to make sketches like this and color them in. So thank you! :D

  • what program have u used ? ur amazing :)

  • amazing

  • How many layers did you use for the skin?

  • phtoshop?

  • no it doesn't look like photoshop, probably corel or something

  • corel painter x

  • Well done sir ^_^ well done.

  • wow...

  • how you paint without covering the outline of the sketch?

  • i think it's cuz he's having the sketch layer over the painting layer

  • He sets the lineart layer to multiply. That's what I do at least

  • thank you that helped but i hav a question...if you are painting the clothes and it goes over the skin(im using a mouse at the moment)is there a way to prevent that?and if you want to paint the background, is there a way to stop the paint going over the character??thanks

  • use layers, create a new layer so it doesn't disturb the already drawn pic

  • I know your post is old, but you can make a new layer and then put it UNDER the lineart layer. When you click on that layer, you can color it in whatever color you want, and then make more layers on top of the lineart and color from there.

  • you paint underneath the outline layer

  • by putting the top layer on multiply not on normal.

multiply makes all white background transparent

  • You put the penciled layer on multiply and put the color layers under that.

  • I love painting faces, but I stink at hair.

  • Similar to Tetsuya Nomura's style; which I LOVE.

    Great picture

  • Really nice!!!

    :)

  • wow, insane detail, i'd love to get to this standard one day, jut got a bamboo tablet a few days ago! :)

  • wow! i love how she becomes more real with every stroke

  • also i forgot to post on my last comment what program should i use to train to be digital artist? i have photoshop but im thinking about some others ive seen including this one. anyone's opinion plz

  • i wonder y shehe stopped logging on...

  • kewl.. but I guess this is corel??

  • beautiful! do you have a deviant account?

  • OMG

    you are amazing

  • I have a question that I've been wanting to ask for some time, I hope you can give me the answer! To make this digital art that I've been watching so much lately, do you use the mouse? Or a digital drawing pad that hooks up to your computer (not quite sure what it's called)? I'm a serious art student, and would like to go into digital art in college, and I'm wondering if it's necessary to get a digital drawing pad, or if the mouse is sufficient. Personally, the mouse seems a lot harder...

  • uh to answer your question its called a tablet and to get the same results and have pressure sensitivity i recommend bamboo tablet and photoshop(photoshop for the sensitivity

  • fken awsome!

  • she's beautiful *0*

  • very inspiring : )

  • Do you have an account on deviantArt? I would be thrilled to look at the rest of your artwork =D

You are extremely good at what you do!

  • I so want to see finished picture ...Link please!

  • absolutely beautiful! amazing job! what program did/do you use?

  • Corel Painter.

It might be IX but I use X

  • ou my god...she is beautifull, can I ask which program you used? It was wonderful

  • can i ask which tool did you use on the program? pastel? watercolor? oils? then blend with "just add water" ?

  • what program are you using?

  • that was wonderful XD

  • Comment removed

  • oh my god...... @_@ beautifull... Btw... what is the artist and title of this song?

  • Loved it.I love digitals and I have to share it with my friend Kim.

    Pios

  • very nicely done sir. best part is anatomy in my opinion, that shit is hard to get down

  • how do you blended the colors..? anyone..?

  • hmmm.. blend colours i make use opacity, soft edged brushes, smudging, there are also varios brushes combos you could use

  • well..here he's using painter and there are several blending brushes there. But you can still blend in other softwares like photoshop by changing the opacity and brush flow levels. Also using a tablet helps you blend better.

  • that is fucking hard i keep trying how to use the program sooo hard i need a tablet ffs

  • are you using photoshop or painter ?

  • I think its Painter because of how the canvas is being rotated

  • painter from the brushes pallet, still i prefer photoshop with cs4 u can rotate your canvas at will and painter's brushes are just to complicated.

  • I believe you can also rotate the Canvas in Painter.

  • nice video, nice technique, u r good

  • Could you post a few parts of this video slowed down so I could get a better look at your technique? Just the parts where you paint the ski around the eyes, the lips, and the nose. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

  • man! ur talanted!!!!
