What a beautiful time to born in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Couldn't go to carnival as a young boy from Freeland Village Mesopotamia. The music remains strong and full of energy coming out of my hometown. Thanks to Frankie McIntosh and all the artist refusing to play dead and let the art form die. Still one of the best places to view costumes of the highest quality.
As a vincy I love listening to these old music, they bring back alot of old memories. These are music that lost the test of time.Thank you for posting all these great music. Now this is music.
"Disco Ivy" is a Soca R&B Soca Hit Song bound for the Bill board Charts any time now.
This song is a duet Classic. These are the musicians who performed on this song: Ulric Wilson & Charmaine Yates (Vocals) Doneth "Doppy" Dopwell( Band Leader/Guitars) Robert "Ike Jeffers(Bass/Vocals) Frankie McIntosh- (Synthersizers/ Keyboards/Drums&Percussions).

Big song! Congratulations to my family and friends of my home town band. You all have been a great inspiration to me and many others.
"Disco Ivy" is a Classic R&B Disco Soca Song.Sounds fresh as if recored yesterday.
An Asterisks , Becket and McIntosh Music project. Destined to take Soca on the Bill board Charts. The strategy eventually paid off with Becket "Teaser".
Written and Produced by Frankie McIntosh and Distributed by "Becket" Cocoa Recording Label.
Wheyyyyyyyyy, Pompey! Tunnnnnne. We used to kill this one in basement party. This band had the hardest percussions on display. Totally mash up parties in the mid 80's with Becket ---St . Augustine Hall on 10th and V. Street will never be the same. Ah hear yuh Charmine Yates, sweet as ever.
Another fantastic arrangement by Frankie McIntosh. In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, this song, on MANY occasions, has been RATED as the BEST that came out of SVG.

Asterisks were formed in Layou, St Vincent around the early to mid 70's and provided back-up for most of Becket's recordings and shows.

Becket has always been a SOLO artist.
This was strictly done by Astericks.
Most of the MEMBERS of Astericks MIGRATED to the NORTH AMERICA and they formed the D'REBELS BANDS.
