  • Oh Shit those big ass dumbbells in the back. O.o

  • Elbows in plz.

  • well, im a noob at boxing but being southpaw and being able to change to an orthodox stance for me can be quite fun. You can jab 2-3 times in southpaw and then switch to orthodox CAREFULLY and jab 2-3 times. This annoys people lol. i'll say sorry in advance if i've offended anyone :D

  • Good stuff.

  • im a southpaw but prefer the philly shell defense, any tipson how i can get better with that defense being a southpaw?

  • @marinejackson rolling with the body punches as they come in and for me I mix the classic high guard and philly shell defense depending on my opponents hand speed and footwork. You also have to be able to convert offensively off the guard. Its great for counter punching especially to the body.

  • @marinejackson watch Pernell Whitaker or Zab Judah among others and only focus on there footwork/defense

  • @marinejackson thats some tuff shit.

cus im southpaw and can fight orthodox.

problem is philly shell is very diffeclt when fightin southpaw. people dont fight southpaw against me so i cant practice much with them. so most of the time im fightin orthodox and i have the phily shell. when i fight southpaw i have the peek a boo style.

u have to practice alot with sparring parteners.

also remember if u arnt as gifted like mayweather ur gonna get hit alot, like i do.

    good luck.

  • i move around like ali dancing babi throwin long ass right jabs baccin up they charge let the pistons work

  • Awesome, thanks for the tips Coach Rob.

  • I'm a southpaw, I feel that sliiping to the outside of the jab and coming in with a right hook on the inside is always good

  • @Boxinglad123 I like that as well. Another thing that lands at a high rate for me is the slip to the outside of the jab with a straight right down the middle and left handed uppercuts vs the orthodox. All 3 punches land most of the time. But of course they need to be set up 1st with your own jabs to the body and double jabs to the face.

  • im a southpaw,

    always nice not being 4gotten.

  • And vice-verse for an orthodox facing a southpaw pretty much. Also, southpaws need to remember to cover that liver, it's a lot more accessible on a southpaw.
