i have rust on the inner lining of my barrel...probly my fault for my poor cleaning jobs after shooting that old corrosive ammo. im tried to clean it with recently very thoroughly but i cant get all of the rust. any input here??
You can also decock the bolt by holding the trigger down as you slide the action and drop it to rest. To recock, you pull the end back until it locks into place.
400 meters? your fuckin crazy man! this gun would definitly top the M1 garand in accuracy and a decent marksman can hit 600 yards with that! the mosin easily surpasses 1000 yards when prone with a scope...
@soundhitman, well with iron sights its kinda hard to see your target at 400 meters, although i havnt tried shooting at 600 yards i would very much love to, i have noticed that the sights are a little off on mine, remember i do have a shorter barrel which reduces the sight radius. but i do consider myself quite the marksman and i have to admit, i do impress myself from time to time, but thanks for the comment!!!!
haha when your said tree.and u said it hite it.I shoot mine at a tree.and the tree was 2 feet round. And it whit right in and came right out.haha it is a mean ass gun.this gun can kill two deer's with one shoot.maybe three.real nice video man.
@quickstep564 HEAT!!! ive heard of people taking blowdryers and it will melt off the cosmoline, ive heard people letting it bake in the sun or even in their oven. mine wasnt that dirty cause the guy before me cleaned it really good. but ive heard people of putting their stocks in the oven and letting it bake out the cosmoline to give it a nice look. google it, you'll find just about anything
wow this is cool, i bought an m44 mosin nagant made in 1953 with a stock the same description as the one you gave, and i just saw this video today, the gun is great, im going to refinish the stock though, try to get it a bit darker and less rough.
@xmarinex179x hey man, i think mosins are the best guns to start off with. cheap, and fun to shoot. i still get amazement with the fireball that comes out the end. it dosnt matter what gun people have, just as long as they are shooting.
yes... back in WWII they were sighted in with the bayonet extended. i just shot that way because it wasnt that far and didnt really matter. if its under 100 yards i dont think it matters that much, otherwise it would shoot low and the the left, but every gun is different....
damn! look at the muzzleflash of that!
