but awesome none the less :-)

  • I toured with him once in 1975, and then i woke up

  • @JohnnySton3r best comment

  • love the begining so much.

  • OUCH.........doesn't even compare to having Mick Ronson on guitar and Woody on drums. That was TOO MUCH to believe. This is........LAME. He shouldn't have even tried this song without them.

  • bowie is tired and shot here......combo of tired nerves and coke - lag....I know, I'm a druggie since 1972....stillll a most amazing tune from ziggy

    Neil Skelton

  • bah, too much attitude and 'soul'. Im not feeling this.

  • ahh i love that little hip thing he does at the start.

    swoon.

this is a greaaat version of this song.

  • will bowie tour again got a bad feeling to old mayb be still the greatest x

  • heaven bowie the coolest god on earth

  • I see I'm not the only one to note how terribly coked-out he seems! Oh David, we're glad you made it through that D:

  • I like this sensual bluesy soulful version, must be the coke!

  • @durante888 Many Bowie fans mention Bowie and cocaine in the same expression. But if they had experience with the drug, they'd know, most likely, never was he jacked on it while on stage.

  • love it!!!

  • Bowie was fucked up on coke on his first US tour. Have you seen the deleted scene for Cracked Actor, he has a huge bag of coke in his hand, obviously good shit too possibly from his pal Lee Black Childers. I look back and think he was a kid in his late 20s, who had just became a Rock God and was going to the States on his first big adventure. I also felt the sax, especially David Sanborn's, was an intrinsic part of Bowie's sound around this time !

  • omg...where can I find the deleted scene?!!

  • In some that arent deleted, he has some of the biggest lines on his coffee table in full view. Its ridiculous. :)!

  • no way! the sax made the song that much better!

  • its different. it will probably grow on me, like when roger waters from pink floyd, went out on his solo career. he used alot of sax where the guitar solos used to be. i guess that was the 80's and early 90's style back then. oh well.

  • where is the great guitar solo at 226? uuurrgg not like his farewell concert in 72. take the sax out of this song damnit.

the solo is ok in the end though.

  • earl slick, a dirty bastard on gtr

  • is earl slick playing here? i saw him perform on the seriouse moonlight dvd, totally amazeing btw, reccommend it to all bowie fans

  • yes, Earl Slick

  • the mid-seventies is bowie period of more drug abuse. Is not surprise your skinny shape in this video.

  • Let's be honest... they SUCKED! I love David and all of his bandmates but they blew it or shot it on this one. I missed this tour and seeing this footage is a dream come true for me. I thank you.

  • I can do with out the sax but great post!

  • As coked out as he is here, he still has that THING. :)!

  • man how fucked is he?

he looks skinny as hell and it seems like he can hardly keep his breath.

  • how come?! i just like the skinny bowie!i miss skinny bowie...!!

  • Take your lectric eye on me babe;)

  • ... Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!

    xxx

  • Thanx indeed!!! The BBC,at least, must have footage of many of those shows. Great to hear earl slick playing a different solo to the one I've gotten used to over the years. Brilliant!!

  • thankyou whoever you are. There must be complete film of these shows.
