Wow, you can really hear the difference without Kelly Groucutt's amazing vocals. It's a decent song, but Kelly always added so much in the studio and live (even helped Jeff remember his own lyrics)! Kelly G. was a superb singer and great bass player that is dearly missed.
@elohead Yeah but the difference here is Kelly never had any influence on ELO he was merely a bass player who replaced a bass player and would have been replaced anyway.
to Jovienn sadly Kelly Groucutt passed over 12 months. I do agree if the orignal group elo and elo part2 got together yes I would go, but it wouldn't be the same with out Kelly G

Kelly was a wonderful gent I met him at the Liverpool Philharmonic hall nearly 2yrs ago. he came into the bar up stairs of the Philharmonic wasn't even phased byb the the growd.
Bev Bevan is retired now and Hugh Mcdowell who played the cello, he is doing radio2. But they are still the best!! I think Jeff Lynne and the rest of ELO and ELO Pt 2 should get to gether and do a gig in rememberence of Kelly Groucutt, it would go down well for his family
Great song. It just doesn't seem the same without the cellos and violins. Jeff says no-one has asked them to tour but what about the fans? I'm sure they'd want to see them tour again. Come on Jeff, get yourself together with Bev, Richard, Mik, Hugh, Melvyn and Mike D'Albuquerque and make it happen, pleeeeeze. ;)
Great song, however this is a definite lip sync if this is the actual concert version. It sounds exactly like the CD version.
