  • when we were tryin out this horse to buy...everytime i asked her to canter she did the same thing;bucked

  • What's with all the crit? Sheesh! You kept your cool but more importantly you kept a sense of humour :) I do love this, it really makes me smile (sorry if you find that offensive) and good job retraining her :) I basically did the same thing with my little monster :) xxx

  • Retoza de ocoioso que esta Le falta trabajo y tu lo sabe no es de peligro Te felicito te divertistes bastante

  • Nice to see someone enjoying a horses natural movements!! Nothing wrong with a horse bucking unless it is mean spirited and she was just doing what she thought was right! Good on you!!!

  • no one can beat a good bucking horse XD

  • Hahaha I love how your laughing through this, was fun to watch lol. Glad to read she is not bucking anymore, good job :)

  • I love a bucking horse! makes a ride interesting. like the horse I rode the other day who bucked when I got her carrying herself while cantering stirrupless. then I fell off. but it was funny :)

  • LOL, my pony does the same thing, but itss cozz he was on box rest.

  • @funnystuff4722 because I felt like it.

  • not to sound snoby or anything but this horse isnt really bucking its just doing a little crowhop, n a pigroot

  • This video makes me smile :) I am saving this to watch when my horse is being stupid and I want to kill him.

  • @HorseRider36 If i was your horse i would want u off. Never the horses fault only people problems. Horses are not stupid.

  • lol - I lost my stirrup - HOW EMBARASSSING !! hahah lol made my day :)

  • i love how you still ride as if nothing happened. well done :)

  • i think your saddles abit far forward?

  • could you help me? my pony does the same thing as this horse's (bucking while cantering) when he does that i always fall off him. do you have any pointers on how i can stay on and stop this? please comment bacck!:D oh and my pony's only 8 aswell!xxxxxx

  • @holdyourhorses99 Sorry but the only way to stay on is keep practising ! When I was little I had a tiny pony who bucked all the time and I had no saddle, my parents just kept making me get back on and eventually I stopped falling off. Mostly you need to relax, make your body soft so it doesn't bounce and lean back with your feet pushed forwards in the stirrups

  • @holdyourhorses99 Stop being nervous while on him. When you fall get right back on. If you practice on your balence you can stay on. He probably sees u as a poor leader and learned if he bucks he can get u off.. Never the horses fault. You got to find your problem while loping on him. Don't use spurs, crops, or whips those are cheats. if you use these these are things to make your horse listen your horse won't willingly listen.

  • @rosycheeks44 okayy. i'm doing some parreli work with him now, i think he has had some bad experiences with riding because he came from a animal shelter so we're all trying our best!

  • @holdyourhorses99 Awesome!!!!! i love parrelli. teaches you so much about the horse and how they communicate. you are doing the right thing.

  • @holdyourhorses99 us a buck stopper mont roberts style it cuerd my bucker :

  • @holdyourhorses99 Hey, throughout my years of riding I have come across a few horses that like to buck. For whatever reason. One thing my coach ALWAYS yelled at me was

"LOOK UP !" If you look up while your horse is bucking, it tends to bring your shoulders back and straightens you out a little bit. Might now work for everyone, might not work all the time :P But it's a tip. LOOK UP :D

  • "i lost my stirrup, how embarassing" hahaha love that omg made me laugh so much your attitude is amazing :)

  • It might be bucking coz of its saddle , coz thats what happened to my marte her horses saddle was to small and was bucking and everything

  • 'i need to get off before i wet myself' lmaooo, love your attitude <3

  • I may be wrong and i'm not trying to criticise or anything but your saddle seems to be slipping foward a little, it may just look like that or be because she is bucking and not the cause but a pony i used to share used to buck because her saddle used to slip in canter as she was a tad chubby lol, just a suggestion =/

  • @Dooooodle Yeah, this has already been discussed here. The saddle IS slipping forward, because she's grown too wide for it and also because se's bucking, but it isn't the cause.

  • @nags2bitches Ah sorry i didn't see that it already had been x]

  • LOl! It is inspireing to see someone who can LAUGH at a buck istead of squeeling in a frightend manner then proceeding to get frustrated and blame the horse! Your laugh made my day!!

  • dem gaul würde ich mal die sporen reinrammen!

  • Salen ligger for langt frem, og det ser ut til at den klemmer på skulder. Rytter rir på skuldrene, mulig en årsak til bukk. Sjekk sal og bruk halerem.

  • @Erystawi The saddle is sliding forward because she is too fat and because she's bucking !

  • I LOVE THIS! Your laugh ahd me in stiches!!:')

  • How old is you horse, he's awful cute? And I completely understand the bucking thing, I have one of my own, 2 actually, if my pony wants to put out effort

  • @Sameoldjo In this video she was 9 . She's now 11.

  • @nags2bitches The pony Is 11 or 12, and my other is 6 going on 2.

  • try longer reins

  • @RooWallaby For what ?

  • @nags2bitches to try to prevent it. plenty of horses get ridden in reins that are too short and plenty get wound up by it and plenty go much better on a longer rein

  • @RooWallaby I get your meaning and yes tight reins annoy her, but that isn't why she's bucking here. If you look more closely you'll see on occasion there are even loops in the reins as I actually have a very soft hand (if I say so myself lol ). Normally she is ridden western style, on the buckle, but here I have them short ready in case she takes off across the field, but my contact is very light and she has plenty of room to put her head wherever she wants.

  • Horse aerobics

  • I love your attitude. Sometimes horses buck. All of them do it. It's perfectly alright to laugh, sit the bucks and ride the horse forward when they're bucking. Know your horse, your situation, and your abilities as a rider. There should be more people like you. :)

  • @MissBarnPrincess Thankyou :-)

  • i love this video. this is literally what i was like the other day when my horse was doing it!

  • "I gotta get off before I wet myself" HAHAHHAHA!!! Golden, good to see you having such a laugh hahaha, cute horse too.

  • I have a horse and when he bucks it's so easy to stay on even when u loose a stirrup cos he bucks like a drunk horse, seriously i was laughing too, is ur horse like that?

  • @shiningwhitedragon her bucks are very easy to sit, she's not trying to get me off .

  • Haters are stupid, They say that you shouldnt be someone who "thinks they can do it all" but that just means they think that they can do it all! soo dumb! you ride that pony great! and the laughing is great! i know plenty of people that laugh when there horses do stupid little bucks and stuff, and they are some of the best riders i know! Keep up the great riding :)

  • It's the only way to keep going, humor saves your butt sometimes. I love the fact that your horse still thinks bucking is going to work. Adorable. Ridden a few of these myself.

  • how are you laughing...... i would be shitting myself

  • @madforituk27 Actually I watched the vid of you backing your horse and think you're pretty damned brave !

  • @nags2bitches lolzz.... if i could ride like you i would be brave but until then i,ll just have to remain stupid!!!

  • what a beautiful little show off of a horse :)

  • I believe any horse bucking is bad, just because they're small cow kicks, doesn't mean a novice rider is will stay on. I like how you retrained her. I have always believed horses need to be okay with whatever side is being used to mount, yes, there us a so called correct wayto mount, but it's for the horse. If your horse trusts you enough to let you mount on a side they are less familiar with, you have a good horse. If not, it doesn't mean the horse is bad, more work may be needed for trust.

  • if you wanna train a horse then dont bread foals out of it untill its completely broke and trained!!!!Im not an expert but 20 years of experience tell me that you defenetly need some proper guidence and training because the horse needs a teacher and not someone who thinks she can do it all!! I hope you or your family wont get hurt but i expect it will happen in the future!!! The potential is there but you need to put your pride a side and let someone help you to teach you some BASICS!!!!

  • @lizzytimeless OMG This is your third comment on my videos and by far your most stupid. I'm not even going to try to answer you since your stupidity is self evident to all who read your comment.

  • Just out of curiosity, what kind of bit is that?

  • @bellabelliboo It's called an american gag; it has a broken mouth-piece and can be used as a snaffle on the top ring or a rein can be put on the bottom ring too which works as a curb. It also has some lift on the corners of the mouth hence the name 'gag' . It isn't really her bit, it was for my young daughter when she rode Brownies father as he was too big and strong for her . I tried it on Brownie but she didn't like it so we went back to a normal snaffle..

  • @nags2bitches Interesting! Thanks for all that info :) Have a great one!

  • xD if you can mount your horse on both the left and right side, as well as dismount, good for you then! it's good for the horse to have a change of pace on something so trivial as dismounting!

Great video =) fun to watch!

  • I like this video, because this horse is just like the horse I used to ride. She acts the same way as my horse used to. Fortunately she has been "cured", and now she is a nice and quiet trail horse. I love her so much! People can adopt bad habbits too! Just need a bit of training, nothing else. And this horse doesn't seem to care if she dismount from the other side, as I see.

  • i completely agree, i have mounted from the right a few times to even out a saddle that kept slipping off a fat pony i rode :D

its been great talking to you, say hi to your gorgeous horse from me!!

    and great staying on ;)

  • I didnt mean that in an offensive way, its just i do heaps of dressage and they go SPAZ if you dis/mount from the wrong side. i have done research on it and people have always mounted from the left because soldiers had rifles on one of their legs(i forget which one) which would stab they horse or themselves if they mounted from the right side. just some history for you... :D but a beautiful horse you have, lucky thing!!!!

  • @ponycrazy263 Well yes, a dressage horse would be upset by it for the simple reason that everyone who rides him/her would always get on the same side so he/she wouldn't be used to it on the 'wrong' side - Because dressage grew out of military training and soldiers as you said had to get on the side that didn't hurt lol . But as for the individual horse , they can be trained to let you get on whichever side you want.

  • im sorry, this is annoying me, you dismounted from the wrong side, that is all i am going to say... and that she looks like fun to ride!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ponycrazy263 @ponycrazy263 LOL I've already discussed the 'wrong side' issue in earlier comments but I'll say it again. Firstly I am crippled in the left leg so tend not to land on it or mount with it if I can help it Secondly the 'wrong side' is a myth, if you teach your horse to use both sides there is no problem with it.

  • im sorry, this is annoying me, you dismounted from the wrong side, that is all i am going to say...

  • I HAVE UPDATED THE DESCRIPTION YET AGAIN. PLEASE READ IT BEFORE COMMENTING.

  • @nags2bitches Thanks for the clarification; your last description was confusing, as it did seem to imply that you were encouraging the behavior. Glad she's ok now.

  • No offense...but why in the world would you teach a horse a cue to buck? As a trainer who works with mostly problem horses, I wind up with horses like her...who have been taught the strangest things, and wind up changing hands over and over, because that "cute trick" turns into a dangerous one. I see nothing 'funny' about this given that she nearly unseated you several times; what happens to her if she injures the person who buys her?

  • @catfreak8008 I didn't teach her to buck, as i explained in the description She already bucked every time I asked for canter, that is, when the leg is slid back & used behind the girth so therefore sliding your leg back is the cue to buck but I did NOT TEACH IT TO HER that was just her reaction to the leg, she basically didn't like leg aids.

  • @catfreak8008 I trained her to canter by voice alone then reintroduced the leg slowly & gradually moved it back behind the girth over time rather than punish her for bucking which would've just confused her and made matters worse. She now knows what the leg means and doesn't buck but I videod it for posperity just as anyone would video a 'problem' while it was being ironed out .

  • i dont carre if she bucks she looks like she has a very smooth canter apart from ta bucks

  • That mare is gorgeous :)

  • @BlacknAmber4Lyfe Yes she is, and very sadly for sale :- (

  • you got off on the wrong side

  • @MsBeauBeau Was that some kind of sarcasm ? Because there is no 'wrong' side to get on and off .

  • @nags2bitches

no, well, im just stating that where i live, and horses around the world. you do everything on the left side. but in britain it might be differnt :)

  • @MsBeauBeau Sorry hun but that 'wrong side' thing went out with the ark, ie no-one does it anymore . It was just a military thing where if you got off on the right side your sword or gun would stab you in the leg . All riding schools 50 years ago were based on military rules so they taught the 'right side' rule without thinking about it but seriously think about it and you'll see it makes no difference to the horse what side you mount. I have a crippled left knee so rarely dismount on that leg

  • @nags2bitches well, we still get taught like that. and you may think that, but really, you dont know if that applies were i live. cos where i live. its LEFT. on nothing.

  • @MsBeauBeau LOL if you are being taught that maybe you should tell your teacher how out of date his/her methods are .

  • more cow kicks. but who gives a flying f*** if your horse does them or not, you can ride her. so ignore them..

  • @annakibble Yeah you're right, very observant ! She takes offense to me using my leg . I greatly enjoyed watching Bruce Lawrence (British trainer ) riding her with spurs on and she spent the whole session trying to kick him back lol.

  • @orangepony13 your an idiot. ever heard of reading the description box? dumbass. i thought this was funny ha!

  • my horse used to buck to rtry and get out of cantering to!

    weldone for retraining her.!

  • my horse bucks all the time when i am cantering the horse lookas like he more bucking than cantering funny lol XD

  • Don't you just love when people get on youtube and comment your videos telling you how to ride and train YOUR horse? Everyone on youtube thinks their a master horse trainer when probably 90% of the ones telling you what to do have probably only been on a horse a handfull of times. Keep up the good work with your horse no matter what anyone else says as long as you or the horse isn't getting hurt all those youtubers can stfu :)

  • @Clutchy402 Thanks :-) Have an A*

  • ehhhhhhhhhh thats pretty stupid look how far the fckin saddle is on her

  • Your an idiot. That horse isn't bucking, Nor is bucking something you can/should teach a horse.

  • @orangepony13 What is it doing then ? And how come the Spanish Riding School in Vienna - after years of intensive training in haute ecole - use the buck and the rear as the high-lights of their public show if it something you can't/shouldn't teach a horse ?

  • @nags2bitches I agree with orangepony13 that you should not teach your horse to buck, its not something your horse should need to know, ever.. what if you went to let your friend get on and she accidentally gave her the aid and then your friend went flying... thats dangerous. And that horse is barely bucking, thats why only lippizaner stallions are meant to do it.

  • @imissmyjane12345 Horses don't need to be taught to buck, they already do it . If you read the description you'd know I had a problem with Brownie bucking so I retrained her so I could control it . If my friend was such a bad rider that she gave the wrong aids I wouldn't let her on my horse. Lippizaner stallions are not the only horses to be taught to buck and rear; ALL classically trained horses do it.

  • @imissmyjane12345

    1. read the description

    2. You can't teach a horse to buck "You can't teach your grandma to suck eggs" They already know how to do it.

    3. If her friend was to ride her horse, she would be told about this or she would have seen the horse being ridden. You do not get on a horse you have not seen being ridden.

    4. It can't be that dangerous if the horse "is barely bucking"

  • @imissmyjane12345 if you look it says read befor comenting dont judge people if you dont no the storie behide it x(not saying it in a nasty way)

  • wow! how did u train her to do it!?!?

  • @brimmandJake She already used to buck as a youngster when asked to canter/lope , I just changed the signal slightly so now she has one for buck and a different one for canter.

  • @nags2bitches that's brilliant! :) kuz then she will consider it work!!! btw she is adorable!

  • ...training a horse to buck...I think that speaks for itself.

  • @BarrelsPolesandJack I didn't actually train her to buck, she already bucked as a youngster & I trained her to do it on command. In that way I 'stole' her buck so to speak ie she no longer bucks when I don't want her to because now she sees it as work, and hard work at that. The capriole is a buck and there are other bucks used as high school movements. Horses are also taught to gallop & yet galloping is dangerous.

  • @nags2bitches Riiiiiiiight. If you say so.

  • hahahaha, love it :)

  • u call that a bucking ?????????? powerful looking horse though

  • You look like you need to have more give with your hands. They look like you are planting them into your mare's withers... and that is enough to make any mount with a softer mouth get a little cranky. And on the note about driving her forward, if your hand's aren't giving, then you are not allowing her to really move out. But I agree about moving forward. I used to stop my mare when she bucked, and now she learned if she is feeling lazy, to just buck... so now I have to move her forward...

  • @617Tora I guess you didn't bother to take the advice on the title ? Ie READ the description before commenting . I am NOT asking her to move out, I am asking her to buck.

  • Beautiful horse! and i just love your laugh lol

  • hehe yup just a horse and rider having fun :D

  • i love how much fun you're having!!

  • hahaha i love how u just find it hilarious!

  • Jó szarul vágtázol!

  • I think there are a lot of jealous riders out there... I wish my horse's bucks were so smooth!!!

  • Hhahaha!! i love this :D

  • my instructor always says; whatever your horse is doing , drive it forwards,

it really helps, cause first the horse is gonna refuse but then after a little while it stops bucking and obeys. :)

if i writed something really wrong my excuse is that i'm dutch :D

and i'm really not saying you did bad cause you didn't :P

  • @Deembolicious yes your instructor is right; keep the horse moving forward and eventually it will give up. Of course you have to learn how to stay on as well lol.

  • @nags2bitches haha, yes , i just forgot that ;)

  • Bad form...having fun,but not good for horse....

  • Aww isn't she a dear! Having fun!

She might need a crupper on that saddle though, it's slipping on her withers a bit.

Anyway, I think you handled her excitement well:)

  • @leeshdiddy22 Yeah thats the main reason I got off as I could see it going up over her neck ! She's too darned fat basically; it does have a 4th girth strap at the front and if I use that, the saddle stays furthur back.

  • There's no mean in that mare, at least not in this video... she's just having fun and feeling her oats! good job staying on and putting up with it without getting after her like she was trying to kill you... because she was having fun you did the right thing by pushing her forward and keeping her going. If you had tried to get after her for every buck THEN she would start to get mad... Cute vid!

  • she is showing off!!! great job staying on!

  • i feel sorry for your horse to be honest and you got off the wrong side too!

  • @missjune96 You feel sorry for my horse because she is feeling happy and healthy and full of the joys of spring ? And what exactly will happen if i get off on the 'wrong side' ? Will she die ? There is no 'wrong side' to get on and off except in riding manuals from the 18th century when people carried swords.

  • @missjune96 there is no RIGHT SIDE when getting off a horse it was something knights used in Medival time period so their swords wouldn't spear their horse. and you dont know her horse so dont run your mouth, she could be excited...

  • @missjune96 - Actually, get on and off on the (opposite not wrong) side is the Indian way and called an Indian broke horse. Always an excellent thing for a horse to know.

  • @alexisfowler93 YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost said the same thing ,but they are obviously British, and may not know????

  • @snottyxraygirl - That could be it I suppose, I'm not from there nor have I even visited there so I have no idea lol

  • I agree with steezy, mostly with the bucking issue though.

And also with the horsemanship, under no circumstance should you be letting your horse do that, especially with that bit her mouth, and your hands tucked so far into your crotch.

Honestly, you two look like one hell of a mess.

  • @babifblss The bit is on the snaffle ring, not the gag ring; my hands are 'in my crotch' because they are braced against her withers as she is pulling like a train. She is bucking almost every other step (look up buck in a dictionary if you don't know what it means). As for 'letting her do it' - seriously ?...She's having a laugh because she's full of beans; no harm done.

  • @nags2bitches the mare was just excited, obviously. My pony does this in teh winter when we ride, it just feels good to them. Bucking is not a sign of pain in this video, the horse is obviously not trying to slow down or throw you off, she just feels good and is trying to let some energy out. i don't see what all these people are talking about- the way your riding is not asking her to buck or anything. they need to stop commenting on stuff they obviously don't know.

  • I actually just wet myself! :L Your so like me when it comes to riding, just sit there and laugh! :L lmaooo ;] she's gorgeous :D xx

  • Well all i have to say is your posture and horsemen ship is the most horrible thing ive seen in a while, if you call that a buck your a retard.

  • @steezy534 well at least I'm not a twat.

  • @nags2bitches haha good one. I think you are a good rider, with good position... and it was a buck, if it wasnt then what was it ?! lol well done. Pretty mare too :)

  • @steezy534 @steezy534 Really? I'd like to put you up on your definition of a "buck" and see you handle it better. :]

Btw, if you DON'T call 0:09 a buck, "your" a retard. (Learn your own language, please?)

  • @steezy534 Case in point. i26.tinypic. com/5kggpf.jpg

  • @steezy534 umm shes trying to stay on and secure in the saddle not trying to look PRETTY with the horse bucks -.-

  • hahaha i love that youre just cracking up hahaha,

you have a great seat and leg position :)

  • my pony is like that i laugh too. hes unpredictable but its fun! looks like youwere having fun!

  • lol!I love your name to haha she is very cute and some times i do the same get on my moms horse and let him buck i tell him to so fun!!!lol feels like a high bounding canter lol!!!

  • I love it when they buck, this 15.2 cob i ride at college bucks all the time and this onece he did a pretty decent maybe verticle buck and i just landed on his neck, couldve just dropped his head and got me off but no he stood there holding me up =D

  • stunning horse.

    and nice job staying on.

  • I love it! ANd i love that your laughing :) THats what i would do! :_)

  • i want your accents! lol

  • i like your horse!

    and u are a good rider! :)

  • haha, lovelly horse. well done for staying on and laughing about it, what its all about!!!

  • I think you have fun! :D nice horse!

  • Glad to see youu had fun;] x

  • 'id better get off before i wet myself'

    ahahaha classic :P

  • haha i love how you are laughing the whole time. and Im going to pee myself! ahha love it!

  • cute horse. nice job xDD

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaa x Well done for staying on lol.

I always fall off when a horse bucks mee lol x

I love the way you laugh lol I would be panicing lol x

    Well donee lovee itt x

  • lol, I love how most people would fall off, but you are laughing hysterically! haha

  • haha at least your havin fun! and so is your mare by the look!

i love riding my horse when he wants to be a bit of a challange too!

most the time hes really well behaved, so when i know hes gonna be silly, i get on lol

  • hahah, she's lucky her horses bucks are fun. mine hardly are. I mean, they're funny, and i laugh, but my horse is huge, and his bucks are no funn,

  • LOL I can imagine; Brownie is only 15 hands ,if she were bucking like that at 17.2 I wouldn't be laughing so hard.

  • @archangelxxrdb urgh thats exactually the same with my horse, its fun for him but for me, im afriad not :)

  • Seems like you trust your mare!I trust mares better than horses as well.Women's connection!:) Did you let her run around and have fun before you rode her?Bucking can be fun but it shouldn't be acceptable.

  • It was still too early to turn them out on the grass, I just let her have a quick mess around and then took her to the woods for a good gallop. I don't let her buck when she's working, that's just her way of letting off steam.

  • If you watch REAL close you can see I'm telling her to do it..

  • :o Is this your house in the background?

I SO wish i lived there. xD

    Awesome riding! Cute horsie :]

  • No it's not my house , it belongs to the estate of a stately home and is rented by a farmer; he lets me keep my horses there. I live just round the corner .

  • 1:12 - 1:15 XD

    lol, I know this situation.

It's like you're sitting on a rocking horse XD

When I rode one of my loans and he did this, I just pulled up his head (like you did) and began to laugh XD

I knew he didn't want to buck me off ... He just though: "Let's got, yeehaw!"

    XD

  • Yeah, you can tell she's only playing, just look at how quietly she stands while I adjust my stirrups . Still, good job I can ride !
