What I love about Fortis is that they don't pretend to be anything they're not. You get a good, solid, reliable and serviceable watch for a very reasonable price. They're not in the same market for quality as Omega (I have owned both) but they are significantly cheaper. They are better value than TAG-Heuer and less pretentious.
Thoroughly recommend them. Unfortunately, I lost my Cosmonaut Automatic a few weeks ago and really miss it. :( It was a great watch and I'd have another in a heartbeat.
got the omega seamaster ref. 176.001 using the highly modified lemania 1340 or omega kaliber 1040. really love the way lemania works and ticks! thumbs up for the awesome fortis cosmonaute!
Hi, I'm just curious to know what your opinion of rubber watch bands that seem to be on quite a few watches nowadays?
I have been wearing an Ebel 1911 Discovery (Orange Dial) with a carbon fibre band. Looked great but broke after 2 years of constant wear. Now I'm wondering should I replace it with a metal Ebel bracelet or opt for a cheaper rubber instead.
@mogando25 I'm not a huge fan of rubber, but I do feel that it has its uses. My biggest complaint with Rubber is that sometimes it can stink if you sweat a lot.

What does center-stop second mean? this is a feature of some Fortis watches?

@mono1342 Generally, I think it means that the second hand is center mounted and that it hacks.
