@redghost105 Uhhh no. The engine is a "flat-plane" v8, meaning that the crank-shaft has its rod journals (meaning the points on the crank where the connecting rods attatch) 180 degrees from one-another. This is what is meant by the term "flat-plane".

As a result, the engine behaves as if it were two 4-cylinders, and hence the sound.

Now that were cleared up on the definition, be mindful of remarks that may leave you looking dumb in the future.

@Klingonmastr I had the opportunity to drive a C8 Spyder. They are beautiful cars but hard to drive (ultra hard clutch, no power brakes). But you're right, ppl couldn't stop snapping their necks checking it out. Even more so than if they had seen a Ferrari drive by.

I once saw a white f430 scuderia spider 16m at Cars and Coffee in Irvine. It was sitting in the back parking lot so no one saw it and when it left there was a mad dash to the exit to see the Ferrari California and this white f430 16m scuderia!
