I was 7 when this 'happening' took place & I can vaguely remember my mother being taken off to the 'asylum',yet again & my father playing one of her albums 'cause it was the only way to get me to 'keep quiet'.Ever since,(& I'm now 51),I'll listen to her magnificent vocals & I'm transported back to those times.Not in a bad way,but 'cause her voice soothed me.Still does all these years later.So thanks Babs for sharing such a unique gift with me & many,many others.

A tracking shot like that was not easy in 1967. They had to pull back a large crane with a camera and cameraman on top. You can see the tracking platform at the bottom of the screen.

This was the song that made her famous. I think when she first began singing it, she did it more like a dirge to emphasize the irony. I recall her doing it that way in 1961 at Chicago's Second City.

@stevesg92 I put it that way because in one of her early interviews she was very blase about the songs where she was loud, and she called it "alot of yelling". And in the latter part of the song she does sound good and riled up. Im sure I'll have plenty of people correcting me on that too. (as if I don't have every Streisand album, geez)

Ive seen atleast 3 videos of Barbra singing this song. 1 with Judy Garland (amazing) and a couple others that were of course fabulous, its Barbra HELLO.

But I think out of all those videos Barbra's voice in this one is perfect. Every note, every word, it couldn't get better.
