Im from new york and I know exactly what happened. The girl with the coat on let the woman get off and regreted it. So she hops of the express train they were on, gets off she was on looks around to see if the girl is at the next stop,she wasnt so she goes up and across to see if she is on the next local train coming back. This is whats so great about our transit system...

She is smiling cuz the girl is NOW on that local train. Look at her surprise and embarrassement, she`s blushing

In terms of looks, film looks great... I zoned out half way through the short(it's less than 4 minutes long) so something isn't working? All in all, as an entire work, it suffers from what most shorts suffer from these days, that artsy, film student syndrome, way way way 'too, inside baseball' and cerebral, that said, I get it, but what does it give me? Not much when it telegraphs the ending, a minute out, and you're praying that it isn't going to go the way you think... alas, it does. Blah.

Imho the thing is that there is no obvious punch line; in Germany we call it "Aha-Effekt" most shortfilms offer.

It's a nice film, though.

To tell the truth I don't really get it either. I don't think that the point her going by subway just to check out other girls..
