  • @virginiedp Yes, but fairies in Ireland aren't the sweet little "Tinkerbells" Disney wrote and drew about. Fairies are actually quite evil, cunning, little creatures in Irish lore. Just a bit o' history for yeh :)

  • @velvetsnape Cunning, certainly, but evil? Not exactly. That was true enough in the Scottish and Brythonic folkloric traditions (the Unseelie court is derived from Scots myth), but the "faeries" of Ireland are derived from the Aes Sidhe and the Tuatha de Danaan. No one could call Lugh Lamhfada or Nuada Argatlamh wicked.

"And it was said by the poets of Ireland that every skilled man, who had music and did enchantment secretly, was of the blood of the Tuatha de Danaan."--The Book of Invasions.

  • I care only for one thing. This is a heavenly tune. It is very beautiful.

  • Love this version.. wish I were born in ireland.

    Gianmarco, from Italy.

  • Nice music, but why does Tinkerbell keep appearing?

  • simply because Ireland is sometimes called " the fairy isle " !!!
