Fantastic, i love appleby, would love to go, sure, so of the horses arent treated the way we would, theyre treated a bit rougher and arent covered with a blanket and given hot mash everynight, i was up a gypsy yard, and though they didnt treat the horses like we would, they didnt treat them so bad that we needed to call the rspca, or ask them to stop, these horses are amazing, just look past the guys showing off, and look at how well the horse look, well fed, clean, happy!!!
God didnt design horses to run on asphalt so it cant be good on them to full on run ,shoes or not. I dont know how these people treat the animals or if the breeding is regulated to make sure inbreeding is no happening. At least they are using horses. If they werent they would all be dogfood in china or glue ( do they still make glue that way?) More horses less cars. Air would be cleaner, grass would grow better.
@btpolitic the trotters are bred specially for this type of trotting nowadays, they are started young too turn the front legs into rock hard shock absorbers, my boy, now broken too ride and hasnt been driven in over 2 years, still trots like this when i ask, and i can assure you there is no damaged too his legs, but sadly, he was driven by the wrong sort at too young! so his back legs are in bad shape, but most of them are perfectly fine on it :)
@horseriderhannah No I'm thinking about racing down lanes and tarmac etc, I've done it with my mates trotters and cobs it's fantastic the horses love it and I can assure you they were never hurt. If these horses got hurt they would not be able to sell them which means they cannot make their living, so if they were to hurt them they could not feed their families, so of course they won't hurt them!

Hopefully with the new animals act law, more steps can be taken to prevent this charade.

The man wrapped a rope tightly around the horses' nose, so tight that it couldn't breathe and it was fighting for its life. If the man had any sense he wouldn't make it go into the water, and if he knew anything about horses he would have know that they can only breath through their noses.
