Try to keep better time. Many times during solo performances, the player gets involved in their thing so much that they feel they can warp the time a little, but to the listener it doesnt have as maximum a pulse as possible. Otherwise, you are nailing the sound and style.

lol good question . I tried for many years and then I found the best way was to growl vocally as you play the note.Sort of singing but instead you grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr as the note sounds. Works best in the lower notes.

The trumpet is a harder instrument than the guitar, an amateur who puts his fingers in the right places can emulate Jimmy Hendrix, you do not have to think about keys when playing a guitar, simply move your fingers up the fretboard, all the patterns are the same. There's a reason, there are very few trumpet virtuosos, and if you want a challenge on guitar, learn to play classical.
