Thanks for all the views, guys. I'm glad to see that this has become the 'official' "Amnesia" video on YouTube. Completely unintentional, but I am glad that I was able to share this great track with the world.
Rabies is the best album, Too Dark Park is a good one, this one The Process was the last good album. Damn, Front line Assembly, Front 242, Ministry, Pig Face, Nitzer Ebb, thats bringing back high school right there. Thats back when music was good. I havent listened to the actual radio since 2000 cause everything sucks. NIN and Manson are weak also! Rammstein is probably the best band going right now, funny how nobody liked them now everyone has jumped one their bandwagon over the past 2 years.
Underrated Puppy song. As a whole The Process may be their worst album (although it's not bad) but this song and Morter is some of my all time SP favorites.
@pushka1337 Well, I think most SP fans would disagree with you. Personally I think everything they released between 1983-1992 blows The Process out of the water. It's just a matter of opinion anyway.
@skalberg242 well then most sp fans suck. their worst albums are the 2 (?) new ones for sure. their old songs like tormentor, mirror saw, inquisition, worlock, killing game etc are very good but nothing compares to death's aggression, power and sadness. it's very underrated for some reason.
@MAYZON1 there are ALOT of bands in the industrial genre, I'm sure you've heard of NIN unnless youve been living under a rock and Marilyn Manson's early material from the 90's and early 2000's. You've also got your Ministry, Static X, 16Volt, Psyclon Nine(they have alot more of an electronic/techno feel to them) KMFDM, Bile, PIG, those are some of my favorite industrial styled groups, just look around in the genre to get some more ;)
I think you can probably get "the process" on Subconscious Communications website. I love that album. Love it. When I recently added some SP to my library, I did the 'find album info" thing on WMplayer to get the album art. Some slag 0ff of a music reviewer compared parts of "the greater Wrong of the Right" 2 "the process", while maintaining the opinion that "process" is an inferior skinny puppy album...whoever he was, i'm sure i don't care if it sounds fashionalbe to rip on 'process"...
for reasons untold born a body mass no excuse for intolerable kick set in glass grasp a moment shattered a lock on the door scraping demon trapped resides starving for freedom all my strength to keep inside tear it down if I could move heaven or hell I would to summon heads rush all perception void and meaningless anti fathoms life in spite of it negate all feeling fractured
This songs sounds to me like the last fleeting moments of lifetime coming to a close. Coupled with the bitter sweet sadness of realizing in that last flash of existance, that in the vastness of life there is always more you could have done and seemingly infinitely more that could or should have been experienced, learned, understood, shared, cherished ect ect ect. A song as sad as it is beautiful.
mocked deplore naming reverse remote viewing empathic lesion surrounding the guilt cannot deny tear it down a process to describe whatever truth means nothing when adding no results times a shallow digging through the mud thrown out so expectable intentions not up front and the shit that never faced reflects the sliver upon it's face looped a flaw rotates forever unresolved
Easily in contention with Worlock as my absolute favorite SP track. The drum beat as well as the ingenius ambient noise in the background during the second half gives me chills every fucking time. Great image as well!
After the Atlanta show of the Rabies tour, I had the opportunity to interview Ogre and Cevin Key for a very long time. When discussing his lyrical style, Nivek made a what I think is a very telling comment: He builds his lyrics around significant words or phrases, and the rest is really filler, because that way, the listener can take the those phrases and build lyrics around them that are most significant to them personally.
Uh, I wish I could have seen that tour, but unfortunately the Rabies tour never happened. Al Jourgensen from Ministry recorded the guitars for the album and of course Ministry suddenly had their own large following. SP last toured with Last Rights in '92. They never toured with The Process due to the death of D.R. Goettel. That was a true loss for such a great band.
yeah, I've been a huge fan of SP for a long time. and that's exactly what I've loved about ohgr's vocals. it was always more like a canvas of words/phrases pointing in kind of the same direction towards a theme.
Is there a shaky sound added to it, (don't know how to really describe it) but the version of Amnesia I have sounds a little different too. Maybe you have the 1996 release and this is the 1999 re-release?
Wanted to also mention: that I had a hard time w/ the lyrics as many of you did. Looked up for lyric sheets online, found them for "The Process" album but this song is not covered; odd? I thought it was "and the shi* that never faced, reflects the sliver, can't escape (can't explain?), looped a flaw, rotates forever, unresolved." Maybe I hear what I want though? Also to Pallikian, I also could never distinguish "if I could move heaven or hell I would"; although there is some distortion in there.
I have comments about many things, but I usually only post about songs that really mean something to me. Except for "Cult" I never thought SP would do slower songs, I don't know why some ppl dislike them doing slower ones. I do like the fast pace or experimental ones, but I am more partial to the harmony and melody in songs such as this one and "Cult".I was so impressed by the piano solo, and it takes alot to impress me...I don't just go 'wow that was great' but I said it with this song.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
could you have found a less ego oriented pic? yeas lets look all look at ohgr in 90s and seem goth. for most ppl its the music, i think. the music is timeless.
Most people include the "If I could move heaven or hell, i would" line in the lyrics between the first and second verse, but I have never been able to hear it.... exactly where in the song is that line??
I think that the line you are looking for has been heavily distorted if you listen closely you might be able to make it out where the singing sounds all garbled at around 1:16
and the shit that never fades reflects the sliver of common space :)
but, as long as you enjoy listening to it, who cares if you change the lyrics when you're singing it to suit yourself. lord knows both kurdt cobain and ogre did live.

It's true that this album is out of print. check wiki's The Process's page. So I'm wondering if you upload other songs from this album so that we can share. I don't care about the pics on screen. I want to hear the songs themselves. Please.
I just bought a used copy off of amazon, but Amnesia sounds different like a percussion element is missing from the 1998 re-release (which I take is your version since mine is the 1996) compared to the 1996 release, I can upload my version for you to check it out if you want.
