  • I LOVE YOU SKINNY PUPPY,FANTASTIC SONG!!!GREETING FROM CZECH REPUBLIC.

  • Thanks for all the views, guys. I'm glad to see that this has become the 'official' "Amnesia" video on YouTube. Completely unintentional, but I am glad that I was able to share this great track with the world.

    Long live SP.

  • Amnesia-opět můj milovanej song!!Skinny Forever!!

  • всегда хотелось вштырить побольше геры под эту песенку хорошие ребятки и хороший музончик и иже с ним аминь

  • Rabies is the best album, Too Dark Park is a good one, this one The Process was the last good album. Damn, Front line Assembly, Front 242, Ministry, Pig Face, Nitzer Ebb, thats bringing back high school right there. Thats back when music was good. I havent listened to the actual radio since 2000 cause everything sucks. NIN and Manson are weak also! Rammstein is probably the best band going right now, funny how nobody liked them now everyone has jumped one their bandwagon over the past 2 years.

  • Underrated Puppy song. As a whole The Process may be their worst album (although it's not bad) but this song and Morter is some of my all time SP favorites.

  • @skalberg242 process is their best album and death is the best skuppy song ever, stop smoking crack.

  • @pushka1337 Well, I think most SP fans would disagree with you. Personally I think everything they released between 1983-1992 blows The Process out of the water. It's just a matter of opinion anyway.

  • @skalberg242 well then most sp fans suck. their worst albums are the 2 (?) new ones for sure. their old songs like tormentor, mirror saw, inquisition, worlock, killing game etc are very good but nothing compares to death's aggression, power and sadness. it's very underrated for some reason.

  • I found this album in my brother old music box.

  • Skinny rules

  • Check out einsturzende neubauten as well skuppy and neubauten are the very best

  • Static x is NOT industrial. Want more bands that sound similar? Try throbbing gristle, psychic tv, frontline assembly, front 242, numb...

  • other bands like this???

i like this caind of music but i dont know other bands

i just know hocico and this

    tell me more

  • @MAYZON1 there are ALOT of bands in the industrial genre, I'm sure you've heard of NIN unnless youve been living under a rock and Marilyn Manson's early material from the 90's and early 2000's. You've also got your Ministry, Static X, 16Volt, Psyclon Nine(they have alot more of an electronic/techno feel to them) KMFDM, Bile, PIG, those are some of my favorite industrial styled groups, just look around in the genre to get some more ;)

  • I think you can probably get "the process" on Subconscious Communications website. I love that album. Love it. When I recently added some SP to my library, I did the 'find album info" thing on WMplayer to get the album art. Some slag 0ff of a music reviewer compared parts of "the greater Wrong of the Right" 2 "the process", while maintaining the opinion that "process" is an inferior skinny puppy album...whoever he was, i'm sure i don't care if it sounds fashionalbe to rip on 'process"...

  • shouldnt be out of print look at subconcious records (spelling probly fucked)

  • @theskinningwire may as well be with the way kids rip shit these days.

  • Buen video para mi que me intereso en la psiquiatría o en las enfermedades de la mente, es preciso.

  • I though this was the last track from them...

Then they came back with "The greater wonng of the right"... and so on...

    P.S. Geniuses

  • @cbwtf try buying the CD... If it's still possible

  • @cbwtf Amazon

  • @cbwtf try freeyoutubedownloader

  • this band is legend dude

  • Use firefox download helper, then download quick media converter, and then convert it to mp3.

  • interesting photo

  • the pup? really?

  • hail the pup! RIP

  • RIP dwayne/Duck, but I am seeing Puppy play tonight :)

I've been a fan since 89' or so.

  • 12" Anthology or VIVIsectVI sre my favorites, though I like Too Dark Park quite a bit.

  • @Whyt3wyrm about the same time i got into them about 88 and havent stopped listening too them and never will stop

  • rip? did someone other than dwayne die? fucksakes im out of the loop if so ..

  • for reasons untold born a body mass no excuse for intolerable kick set in glass grasp a moment shattered a lock on the door scraping demon trapped resides starving for freedom all my strength to keep inside tear it down if I could move heaven or hell I would to summon heads rush all perception void and meaningless anti fathoms life in spite of it negate all feeling fractured

  • This songs sounds to me like the last fleeting moments of lifetime coming to a close. Coupled with the bitter sweet sadness of realizing in that last flash of existance, that in the vastness of life there is always more you could have done and seemingly infinitely more that could or should have been experienced, learned, understood, shared, cherished ect ect ect. A song as sad as it is beautiful.

  • mocked deplore naming reverse remote viewing empathic lesion surrounding the guilt cannot deny tear it down a process to describe whatever truth means nothing when adding no results times a shallow digging through the mud thrown out so expectable intentions not up front and the shit that never faced reflects the sliver upon it's face looped a flaw rotates forever unresolved

  • The best sond with te Daddy YouWarBush I think...

  • untouchable together cEvin Key, & Nivek Ogre

too dark park is still my fav album followed by the process

  • Comment removed

  • I'm looking for the song "Process", I can't find it here :(

  • temporarally paralyzed by the surrounding sound of haunting beauty...

  • that's what i love about the Pup

  • Glad someone else in the world considers this a tear jerker track (not at _all_ in the negative sense, mind)

Damn Goettel for dying. They're a frail imitation of what they once were without him.

  • Easily in contention with Worlock as my absolute favorite SP track. The drum beat as well as the ingenius ambient noise in the background during the second half gives me chills every fucking time. Great image as well!

  • sounds like th 21st centurys lullieby

  • After the Atlanta show of the Rabies tour, I had the opportunity to interview Ogre and Cevin Key for a very long time. When discussing his lyrical style, Nivek made a what I think is a very telling comment: He builds his lyrics around significant words or phrases, and the rest is really filler, because that way, the listener can take the those phrases and build lyrics around them that are most significant to them personally.

  • Skinny Puppy did not tour for the Rabies album. You must be referring to Too Dark Park or ViVisectVI tour.

  • Uh, I wish I could have seen that tour, but unfortunately the Rabies tour never happened. Al Jourgensen from Ministry recorded the guitars for the album and of course Ministry suddenly had their own large following. SP last toured with Last Rights in '92. They never toured with The Process due to the death of D.R. Goettel. That was a true loss for such a great band.

  • and Ogre left before Dwayne died so they were completely fractured, we only have The Process thanks to the dedication of Rave I think

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, you're entirely correct. My bad: I was thinking of the Too Dark Park tour, which was at the Masquerade Ballroom in Atlanta in '90.

  • It's probably the most effervescent approach! Skinny puppy can be a real tear-jerker at times.

  • yeah, I've been a huge fan of SP for a long time. and that's exactly what I've loved about ohgr's vocals. it was always more like a canvas of words/phrases pointing in kind of the same direction towards a theme.

  • @solidstatemind yeh i heard him mention that also

  • The version I have of this song sounds a bit different... does anyone know why?

  • Is there a shaky sound added to it, (don't know how to really describe it) but the version of Amnesia I have sounds a little different too. Maybe you have the 1996 release and this is the 1999 re-release?

  • Wanted to also mention: that I had a hard time w/ the lyrics as many of you did. Looked up for lyric sheets online, found them for "The Process" album but this song is not covered; odd? I thought it was "and the shi* that never faced, reflects the sliver, can't escape (can't explain?), looped a flaw, rotates forever, unresolved." Maybe I hear what I want though? Also to Pallikian, I also could never distinguish "if I could move heaven or hell I would"; although there is some distortion in there.

  • I have comments about many things, but I usually only post about songs that really mean something to me. Except for "Cult" I never thought SP would do slower songs, I don't know why some ppl dislike them doing slower ones. I do like the fast pace or experimental ones, but I am more partial to the harmony and melody in songs such as this one and "Cult".I was so impressed by the piano solo, and it takes alot to impress me...I don't just go 'wow that was great' but I said it with this song.

  • Meh, I just liked the picture.

  • @r1pti what makes you even say ego oriented about him hes nothing but awesome no ego involved

  • @r1pti music timeless, that is the biggest shit I've ever heard.

  • Most people include the "If I could move heaven or hell, i would" line in the lyrics between the first and second verse, but I have never been able to hear it.... exactly where in the song is that line??

  • I think that the line you are looking for has been heavily distorted if you listen closely you might be able to make it out where the singing sounds all garbled at around 1:16

  • is it just me or does it sound like ogre is saying "..and the shit that never faced reflects the sliver of god's grace looped a flaw.."

  • He is :D - grim

  • and the shit that never fades reflects the sliver of common space :)

but, as long as you enjoy listening to it, who cares if you change the lyrics when you're singing it to suit yourself. lord knows both kurdt cobain and ogre did live.

  • suckmydeadlydodezzz...zzz.zz

  • damn it-it wouldn't let me post the whole song, so i broke it into 2 parts, now it's backwards. egh, oh well.

  • lyrics...?

  • for reasons untold born a body mass no excuse for intolerable kick set in glass grasp a moment shattered a lock on the door scraping demon trapped resides

  • This is a farewell song to dwayne goetell, whom died after o.d.-ing. he was instrumental in the making of this album

    r.i.p. dwayne

  • if you want to buy this cd, try amazon. I just got a like new version of the 1996 original release(not the 1999 re-release) for $8.00! who cares if it's used!?

  • It's too bad that this album is out of print, can't even download it from iTunes, thanks American Records. This is really both scarry and sad at the same time, an awesome song that I hope I'll be able to own one day.

  • I didn't realize it was out of print :o

Try piracy. It's a beautiful thing.

  • It's true that this album is out of print. check wiki's The Process's page. So I'm wondering if you upload other songs from this album so that we can share. I don't care about the pics on screen. I want to hear the songs themselves. Please.

  • yeah the process is a really good record

  • I just bought a used copy off of amazon, but Amnesia sounds different like a percussion element is missing from the 1998 re-release (which I take is your version since mine is the 1996) compared to the 1996 release, I can upload my version for you to check it out if you want.

  • @grimlockenator Yeah I guess all crimes seem like beautiful things to those committing them (till they're caught).

  • @jamschnitter you're looking in all the wrong places bro. Emusic has this album and a very hefty collection of skinny puppy for downloading and plenty of the Subs. Tho in my opinion the process is better overlooked and forgotten...

  • @jamschnitter It's available at Amazon on mp3 download

  • @jamschnitter

I was able to get the album off Ebay.

  • I've been listening to Skinny Puppy since the '80s. Seen every tour since Rabies. This is by far the most powerful, moving, and mature SP song. If there is one song I wish I could write a movie around, it's 'Amnesia'

  • This is their best album bar none. If you can't see that you don't know much about music.

  • The Whole album is very good. My Ex turned me onto them in 1995 when this album first came out. But my 3 Favs are Candle, Process and this one Amnesia. The rest are good those are my favs.

  • yeah critics can suck it.

i remember the local paper where i live gave godzilla (the horrid 80s/90s?) one an A+

    and armageddon an f.

btw the entire process album was redone, possibly twice. id love to hear the original because this was the resubmitted one

  • As I understand it, critics generally hated The Process... I can't imagine why, I think that some of their best songs come from that album.

  • who cares about critics its us that are the true critics and i personally like all of there stuff

  • what year is this. Timeless!

  • 1995 :)

  • Thanx...It's been ten yrs since I've listened to anything by them. Wow! I went away from them bcs their earlier material was a bit political and dark. I see that they have changed. I should look into their recent albums. thanx.

  • I totally agree

  • This is one of my favorite Skinny Puppy songs. Everything about it is right.

  • i've always loved the piano in this song

  • Undoobitidbly :) Fantastic song.
